Kenwood KFC-W12PS - 12 1000W Single 4 Ohm Performance Series Car Subwoofer Each

I'm going to start out stating that i've used a barrage of subwoofers and this little guy is for sure a good investment! I will include a detailed review of this item below, it's nothing short of amazing. Let’s get started!Positives:*Fantastic sound, I’m going to say that first, it’s able to hit those low notes, it seems to hit 30-70Hz extremely well, it can hit subsonic frequencies (0-20Hz), They tend to rattle things and are not heard. Be careful with subsonic frequencies they do heat up woofers quickly regardless of the woofer in use, and cause the cone to extend to rediculous lengths and can blow the woofer if used incorrectly.*Sturdy build, the woofer has a good surround. It’s not rubber it’s a poly compound, this doesn’t change sound it’s more done to save you some money. The magnet is a good sized magnet, the picture doesn’t do it justice. The terminals you plug the speaker wire into are a spring device that quickly grab the wire and are very good at keeping it as a tight connection.*Power, this subwoofer is rated at 250W RMS which is decent power, you are not going to be able to hear the woofer from the next block over however, with two of these you will for sure be doing some damage to the old lady in the car over, she will be feeling it and giving you the stink eye.Negatives:*Price, This subwoofer is listed for 44 dollars as of 8/28/2014, for this price you could go ahead and drop a few extra dollars on the next up which is the KFC-W3013PS. The 3013 has a higher power rating and is overall a better subwoofer, it’s got a better frequency range and if you can, spend the 20 bucks and get the next one up. The 3013 is a subwoofer that the guy a block away will hear.*Rating, this subwoofer will NOT reach 1000w, at 500w it should be so distorted that you should cringe when you hear it. At 400w you REALLY need to watch the power.Overall:I’ve worked with Rockford Fosgate, Kenwood and Alpine. This subwoofer beats the Punch P1 by Rockford Fosgate, it’s more clean and will last longer, while Rockford Fosgate does sound awesome! Once again if you can spend the extra 20 for the next model higher, it’s well worth it. Buy this subwoofer it’s fantastic!

You just can't believe the universe of sound these open up, I had no idea, I mean, yeah, I heard music, but oh wow, you just haven't heard it like this before, I mean, wow, you just like, stand there and let it all wash over you like tides of sound waves eminating from these speakers and it's like woosh, or more like WHOUOMMP and then you feel the whole universe flowing through you and around you and your all like whoa, and it's all like moving and you just have to stand there, in the parking lot, trunk open and just let it like, transport you to a different place where stuff makes sense and the trees for some reason are orange, but the speakers are really cool, orange trees not withstanding.

Wouldn't be bad if u just need a little more than stock if it was one in a sealed box BUTThese are a glorified dual sub they are good for mid bass lows are ok I put 2 of them in a 3 cf box tuned to 32htz with a 4 in port (should slam the low lows if u know anything about box building) and I have to say they can take the power but don't perform that well with rap or dub step then again I am comparing it to my single jl audio 12 w7 The kenwoods probably hit down to around 36 htz and start falling on there face around 40htz also hit have a higher pitch sound than other subs if your a 15 year old kid you would probably like these if your a adult look elseswhere .... I'm probably gonna sell these on Craigslist and go with the infinity reference subs you can't beat them for the price and 10,000x the sound quality of these

I just bought two of these KFC W12 and not only did they show up a day early but they sound unbelievably good I had Infinity reference 12 in there before and I've think he's Kenwood's sound deeper cleaner and Tighter I have them sitting in a q-bomb box with a slot port and I recommend them to anybody who reads this I spent plenty of time studying other subwoofers on Amazon and I am extremely happy with these Kenwood's buy them!!!

I have had and owned many systems in my 40 years of life, I have to admit Kenwood did a great job on this sub-woofer deep bass with clarity, If your looking for something that is good on your wallet but will not be shattering your windows then I would give this woofer a try.

NO issues hooked this up in my truck and adds the deep rich bass I wanted without taking up a lot of space.

Im impressed! I tuned these with a very low frequency 1000w amp so I could challenge the voice coil. They withstood the challenge. I dont run them at such extreme power but I wanted to know what these subs could hold up against. Im used to Buying 250.00 subs so I was really suprised That these were built so well, and for less that 60 bucks!

If you're on a tight budget for new subwoofers, then these are the ones you need. I paid less than $65 for two of these subwoofers and might I just say that it was money well spent. These subwoofers pack quite the punch for the price and the product itself is well built.
