Good front tire for XC racing.
There's a reason this tire comes stock on many XC mountain bikes - it's a good predictable and reasonably fast tire. There are faster tires for sure but this one strikes a good balance between speed and durability. It's held up well for me over sharp rocks where faster tires don't. The knob height is a bit low for grip in deeper softer dirt but really good on hard pack and even more shallow loose over hardpack.As a NICA coach, I often recommend this tire for most of the kids racing XC out here in NV.

Great tire and lever
Recon Race are a great choice for most Florida XC racing. Fast rolling, handles well, and it perfect for dry conditions.The lever is pretty small, but that's good for longer rides where you need to pack light. It has a little bit of a flex, which is also good to prevent damage to carbon rims.Both of these are great, and the bundles makes it easier to buy.
