The Snowman DVD, a favourite of mine and my family's, great to watch on the build up to Christmas 🎄 😀 had to buy again as I misplaced my original copy. Was a great price, arrived in new condition, and delivery was good too. Thanks 😊

The snowman is a true classic, and a warm nostalgic memorie we can rematch. I'd highly recommend the kids of today's world should watch this!

I am a big fan of the Jo Nesbø books having read all the Harry Hole (pronounced Who-la according to a friendly Norwegian I once met!) so obviously had certain expectations of what to expect. The reviews online are, by and large, negative but I found the film to be fairly enjoyable. It is very much in the style of Nordic/Scandi- noir so if you like that genre, this film will hit a lot of the right notes. Does it resemble the book? Not fully, but not many films do, too much creative licence but there you go. The setting is perfect and the mood fits, the cast do their best (I did picture Hole looking like Fassbender though!) and the story goes at a decent pace. I'd say the place where the film gets let down is in it's action and 'gore' scenes which seem to lack the grit you might expect from a movie like this. I am not asking for loads of gratuitous blood, just, it felt at times tagged on just for the sake of it. However, an enjoyable film, give it a go.

I missed The Snowman first-time around ... and the second and third. But the Christmas I first witnessed the power of this apparently simple story and its lovely hand-drawn images I was captivated. Peter Auty's haunting rendition of 'Walking in the Air' added a special magic to the flying scene. Years passed and I had children of my own and sure enough The Snowman became a favourite again. Time moved on until recently I was reminded of this classic by a friend. So I bought it and 27 years on, none of the magic has gone. Behind the scenes footage and backgound information shows how such a simple story took the world by storm. You see the people behind the creation, including Peter Auty, now a professional Tenor who was never originally credited (Aled Jones took the credit for his ToysRUs commercial and resulting single that followed). The Snowman also demonstrates the great power and impact of hand-drawn images rather than the perfection we've come to expect through computer generated graphics. Buy it; witness its charm, humour and fairytale qualities ... but don't forget the tissues for the ending. And remember that a snowman's not just for Christmas!

Loved this movie so had to have my own dvd. No spoilers! Atmospheric, keeps you guessing till the end, recommend it for movie buffs

Dvd stupendo, non può mancare tra i dvd natalizi. In passato ho avuto modo di ‘leggere’ il libro ( è un libro illustrato senza parole), di una poesia unica e adatto a qualsiasi età. Il dvd aggiunge una colonna sonora a tratti divertente, paurosa, commovente, che sottolinea i momenti salienti della storia. È proprio un valore aggiunto! La storia ha solo un breve dialogo all’inizio con Babbo Natale, ma poi il resto è solo musica. Nei contenuti extra è possibile vedere come è stato creato il cartone dal libro, con interessantissime interviste all’autore del libro, ai disegnatori, al compositore della colonna sonora e al cantante. Da avere!

I really love this movie....but I thought I was buying a DVD that my family could watch on the TV using our DVD player...it wouldnt work. I could only watch it on my small laptop....so it came very quickly and everthing, just a little disappointed that it would not work on my dvd player.

Sans esbroufe, sans l'aide d'aucun logiciel informatique, Diane Jackson nous convie à ce voyage aérien intensément apaisant. Que dire aussi de la musique de Howard Blake, indissociable du film lui-même, symphonie enfantine d'une grâce inouïe? La mélodie I'm flotting in the air est d'une tendresse et d'une beauté confondantes. Alliée aux dessins naïfs, elle exprime mieux qu'aucun dialogue la texture dont sont faits les rêves d'enfant. The snowman a rejoint la plus belle étoile du ciel, celle qui renferme les oeuvres animées les plus belles Blanche neige et les sept nains,Fantasia et Le roi et l'oiseau.

Un clásico de mi infancia, que ahora le encanta a mi hija de 2.5 años. Es para ver en diciembre, al rededor de Navidad, eso sí. Muy, muy bonito.

とても楽しみにしていましたが、我が家のDVDレコーダー（ソニーBDZ-ZT100)では全く見れません。 「このディスクは再生できません」と出てしまいました。とても残念です。
