Also works for the UV440!
I was a little worried on if this would work to replace the same part on the UV440. Absolutely does. You will just need use some pliers to twist off the "compression washer" (don't know what it's called) that is keeping the metal rod in place from the old cover. All the new components/screw fit perfectly.

Lifesaver
The gasket on the lower lid or cover is VERY poor from the factory. I've repaired it a couple of times but this time it was pretty much gone. This replacement part fit perfectly, and saved me from buying the complete dust canister.
