For the money this is a handy knife sharpening tool. Very easy to grip and hold atop the kitchen counter. Three stages...coarse...less coarse....and fine. In less than a minute you can sharpen your knife. Couldn't be easier. You can also sharpen scissors with this tool.

Good product. Easy to use. Got one for myself. And a couple more for people who have never owned a sharp knife. There may be better, but few are easier to use. Which “duh” encourages more usage thus better and easier usage.

Did a decent job sharpening my EDC knife. It's not shaving anything, but it'll cut cardboard with minimal effort. Well worth the price. Shape is good for getting a solid grip, and the rubber feet on the bottom prevent it from slipping. It's a tad large, but that also helps with keeping hold of it.

It sharpens steel knives very well. It is definitely NOT for ceramic knives. Directions are non existent. There are some basic directions on the box.
