Exceeded my expectations, I love these binos.....
I received these binoculars just before going to Pismo Beach in California for a week long camping trip. I didn't have any time to try them out before we left so I didn't have any idea what they would do. I was very amazed when I tried them the first time while at the beach. The image stabilization is unreal! The wind was blowing at 10 to 15 mph yet I was able to see the whiskers on a seal swimming in the surf about 150 yards from the shoreline with the 20X42 binoculars. With the stabilization turned off I could barely recognize the thing I was looking at was a seals head or if it was one of the many pelicans in the area. 20 power binoculars, hand held in the wind, and yet a perfectly clear image. I told my friend that was with me these things had "Voo Doo magic" in them! The ergonomics took me a little while to get used to. But after using them for a short time I became quite comfortable with them. The field of view is narrow on the 20X and target acquisition takes some practice.I used them a little just before it got dark, they absolutely do NOT gather any light. They still work but the image seems darker thru the lens than with the naked eye. I did not get a chance to try them in the dark because the marine layer fog bank rolled in every night.Looking forward to giving them a try for spotting rock chucks in a week, and maybe while I'm out there I'll find the hiding spot of my next mule deer!!!Pricey, but I'm glad I bought them.

Fantastic stabilisation and build quality.
I have some Canon 10x20 stabilised binoculars but always wanted more magnification. Decided to go for these and am so pleased I did. The weight, handling and general feel of these binoculars is incredible. The extra stabilisation when in Target mode is amazing and far superior to the Canon which I had thought could not be improved on.They are an expensive purchase but the quality and performance completely justifies the price in my opinion. It’s great to have a product that when you first take out of the box is a pleasure to own even before you use it. If you are considering these, don’t hesitate just push that button.

Zulu6 20x42
The media could not be loaded. Great binoculars. Image stabilization is just out of this world. I wish that the field of view was better but that’s what you get with 20x magnification. In the video I show how to turn on the Target Mode - you have to turn it on then off and then back on within 2 secondsWhen the LED is green it indicates that you’re in a scan mode (and it’s very good), when the power indicator turns to amber that’s when you’re in the Target Mode and that’s what the magic begins

Designed for a specific use but would get 5 stars for that !
These are excellent binoculars.I had to ask a colleague about the brand Sig Sauer, as I was completely unfamiliar with it. They advised me that they manufacture and market weapons and are some of the finest examples that you can find and rest assured whatever they offered would be a very good quality.I was looking for something more powerful than my current Canon image stabilising binoculars (12 x36) and wanted to move up to 20 times magnification. It's important to recognise that the function for these binoculars is that of a specific application which is perhaps target shooting, hunting, target checking. My only experience with full bore rifles is a in a Royal Air Force uniform on a 400 yard range using the old SLR rifle in the late 70s. These binoculars would be absolutely ideal for the application as they are powerful and study and have a focused field of view.If you want to use these four that type of application then they are ideal and I would recommend them without hesitation and give them five stars. My first use I was able to zoom in on bees collecting nectar and they were solid and reassuring with the look and feel however the field of vision was narrow which is not surprising as they are very well made light and compact and only use 1 battery. The switch for the image stabilisation is stiff and reassuring, the focus adjustment again was businesslike and well made the general appearance of the unit is good and manufactured in a colour that would be stealthy in undergrowth and in particular hunting situations. The application that I required them for was less specific and required a much wider field of vision. For example tracking high flying aircraft at 35,000 feet took some doing, to acquire the target this is due to the high power and compact field of view. However, once acquired the level of detail is impeccable. They are manufactured by a very good highly recommended manufacturer of weaponry and as such are specifically focused on a small field of view, perhaps target verification to score or verify the point where the target is struck. The requirement I have is less specific and more generic and this is the only reason they lost one star.Exceptionally well made, good value for money, But rather suited to the specific task; my need was to expand on the star gazing capabilities of the Canon units. But these offer a powerful alternative.

Selling used items as new?
This two star review is for “Helios Online Sales” not the Sig Sauer binoculars themselves. When you pay over a thousand dollars for a “new” set of binoculars, you tend to get a little pissed off when your item arrives and all the factories seals on the box have been tampered with, the accessories have been removed from their original packaging, there are giant finger print smudges all over your lenses and the box is put back together with packaging tape. It’s hard to say if this was a return, some retailers store demo model or a refurbished item, but it damn sure wasn’t “new”. Helios also advertises a rather expansive delivery window and, in my case at least, they used virtually every bit of it to deliver my item. It was almost three weeks from the time I placed my order until the binos were received.Fortunately, all the accessories are accounted for, even if they were just tossed in the box. And after a bit of clean up, the binoculars themselves appear to be undamaged.I will say that the performance of the binoculars is quite impressive thus far. The image stabilization is tremendous and the image quality is quite acceptable. The only downside to the product itself is that it ships without any objective lens covers and the ocular lens covers are borderline worthless. They don’t fit snugly, aren’t tethered in any way and will just fall off any time you handle the binos.
