We used these hitch flag poles for a memorial ride for a Friend and fallen Law Enforcement Officer. They held up through 65mph winds! Highly Recommend.

Flag holder works great. I would advise to make sure your flag poles fit the diameter of the hole. I had to use a plastic tube to make up the difference. Also make sure you buy a C-clamp to lock the flag holder in place.

The HITCH: This hitch is solid and works exactly as advertised for my 2-inch receiver. I like the painted stars and stripes, it adds a nice touch. The hitch is the right size with just a little wiggle. I've seen some hitch reviews where the receiver/hitch are too tight even though the measurements are supposed to match. I bought the anti-rattle clamp from AUTMATCH - link below - to reduce the wiggle. Get the locking hitch pin from VehicleX as well to prevent theft. It has 3 holes in the arm for the hitch pin so you have multiple hitch to bumper distance options.The HARDWARE: All nuts and bolts with extras included but after one rain, I see rapid oxidation (the orange beginnings of a rust issue). It is very warm and humid here which accelerates this issue. Still, I wish the hardware was more resistant. Galvanized hardware would slow this down but regular maintenance or a pro-active rust-prevention spray/powder are other options. The hitch bolt fit without issue but I put this back in the bag since I bought the locking pin from VehicleX.FLAG TUBES: They are big. My 1-inch flag poles are almost lost in the tubes. There are a LOT of hitch mounts on Amazon and I gave this 5 stars, but would like to see slightly longer flag tubes with 2 tighteners OR a locking pin to keep the poles in place. There are small drain holes in the bottom to allow water to escape and reduce rust damage. If using 6 ft. flag poles with 3x5 flags, they DO cover the rear brake lights when stopped. I bought the 'upgraded' flag poles from Reeron - do not use those for moving vehicle flag mounts.Overall, I'm very happy with this mount. Can use it for flags or my poles when I am at the lake

So the reason I’m giving this three stars is due to functionality. Someone clearly thought this thing through to an extent for Jeep Wranglers because of the distance that it comes out and avoids hitting the tire. The problem is when you have it installed you cannot open the tailgate. Yes, it blocks the tailgate from opening. Even if you don’t have a flag installed in it. For tailgate style vehicles that don’t swing out this is probably ok. They should include some sort of swivel system so you don’t have to remove the entire contraption to get to the back of your vehicle.
