I love the clean simplicity of this modern coastal wall decor; the white on white has a calming Zen quality about it. Of course, being pristine white, I immediately noticed a tiny black speck, and a couple of quarter inch paintbrush hairs stuck in the paint, and a small ding on the starfish itself. Fortunately, I have white spray paint and these tiny imperfections immediately disappeared. Also, the edges of the wooden frame have places where the natural wood shows, but they're too uniform, with three, evenly spaced on each edge, rather than here and there. In fact, I would have liked a little bit more of the wood showing through over the entire wide frame. Upon seeing it in person, I'm going to hang it from the string, which adds a little rustic quality.It's a complimentary addition in my master bedroom, with my textured white ceramic vases, and whitewash wooden baskets, against icy turquoise walls and sandy/white-color bed linens, with little accents of deep cobalt blue to add depth. The addition of this small picture is the finishing touch for a very cool and tranquil ambiance.
