Perfect size for any kitchen counter. Looks good and easy to clean. The jury is out on the filters which, fairly quickly, develop mold making it necessary to replace frequently. That said, if you empty the container often filtration becomes unnecessary.

Well made and attractive appearance. This bin has good heft to it which keeps it in place on a granite prep counter Great way to start with your composting efforts. The charcoal filters also sold by American home fit easily and do a great job keeping out any smells. Recommend using the biodegradable compost bags also available for the same seller. Very satisfied with he purchase.

Well made and artfully constructed. Its one gallon capacity could be half again as large, if not doubled, and thereby require fewer trips around to the compost.

I have been using this for a few months. I like the size as it’s not too big. It’s washes up quickly. I did find some mold when it didn’t get emptied for a while, but with some plain water it cleaned up and hasn’t come back.

There was a large visible section that didn't have the grey finish on it, and the tan undercoating shows.Disappointed that some type of quality control did not keep this defective container from being sent out to any customer.

This compost bin is just what we needed! At first I thought it would be too big but it’s just right especially since you don’t want your compost to touch the filter. We couldn’t decide between white and gray but are pleased with the gray as it blends well with our kitchen.

Perfect fit for our busy kitchen. Big enough, so your not emptying all the time. Super easy to clean.
