Lights up my backyard and catches plenty of pesky gnats

I decided to try these zapper bulbs and so far, so good! I was pleasantly surprised at how bright the lights are. It also has a feature where the lights and zapper comes on when you turn on the light. If you turn the light off and back on again quickly, the lights go off and it runs just the zapper. I'm using the zapper bulbs in a new fixture as a porch light.

I have a fruit fly problem at my place. I don't know if my unit is defective but it seems incapable of actually attracting any bugs. The ultra violet light seems too dim. To have any chance of catching any bugs I had to bait the trap with banana peels. I use it indoors mounted to a simple desk lamp.

These work well, kill all kinds of bugs & mosquitoes.

I have seen flying insects in the vicinity of this device; however, it has not actually killed any. I had purchased a similar device years ago from a different company that was equally ineffective. Anything that has ever worked for me has been plugged directly into an electrical outlet.

Used in light by my door and does have a few bugs zapped in it. Only gave 4 stars because I haven't had it long enough to really say if it does or doesn't work.
