New EZ Pass Holder for Smaller, Wedge-Shaped EZ-Pass and I-Pass Toll Tag Transponders (White)

I recently picked up two new EZ pass transponders not realizing the size had changed, so I immediately headed here to Amazon to find smaller holders when I found these. I ordered on a Friday and they were at my doorstep by Monday morning. The transponders fit snuggly in the holder as you would expect. I paid particular attention to the Velcro, which is preinstalled on the transponder for mounting to your windshield, to see if it affected the fit since several people had asked questions about it. I can say the Velcro DID NOT affect the installation of the transponder in the holder. I did have some concern about the Velcro interfering with the suction cup, especially given how small the suction cups are, but I did the ‘ole “lick em and stick em” and they seem to be holding just fine.

I used this on a Ninja 650 for touring. Worked amazingly well.

Super convenient and exactly what I needed! This EZ Pass holder fits my smaller, wedge-shaped transponder perfectly and keeps it secure without obstructing the windshield view. Installation was quick and easy, and it stays firmly in place even on bumpy roads. The white color is clean and unobtrusive, and the design makes it simple to remove and reattach the pass when needed. I've been using this ez-pass holder for about 2 years. It certainly holds the i-pass very well, but removing from the holder isn't easy. It's better to just leave the i-pass in the holder if it's necessary to move it to another vehicle. After about a year the suction cups would become detached if the car was parked in the sun on a hot day, not suprising. It would be nice if an extra set of suction cups came with the holder. Regardless of that small issue I like using the holder better than using the adhesive backed strips that came with the i-pass.

Needed a holder for my E-Z pass and this was cheap and fits perfectly! Some reviews have mentioned that they have a hard time with the holder staying suctioned to the windshield, but so far, I’ve had it up for almost a week and zero issues with sticking! So much more convenient then having it floating on my dash. Didn’t realize they make this in black until after I purchased, so next time, I would go black. But love this regardless!

First time I tried to stick this to the windshield, it did fall down. And I thought I pressed the suction cups quite well. Wanting to give it another chance, I cleaned the windshield (glass cleaner & paper towel, followed by micro fiber cloth) and then reapplied.... works just fine! Lasted a 14 hour drive from Chicago to Connecticut. And then 14 hours back. Those other reviews that say this device does not stick to their windshield -- they really need to clean their windshield first! Best practice: even though it may look clean, *assume* your windshield is dirty. Clean your windshield before applying.

Ownership: 3 months Pros: Low profile, securely holds EZ Pass (slim only), quality suction cups. Cons: $7 is a bit much for a piece of plastic, however the quality and functionality justify it. Some tips for optimal use: Before mounting to your windshield, I recommend applying a bit of isopropyl alcohol to a lint-free cloth and cleaning both the glass AND suction cups. Wait until they are completely dry then mount using an even amount of pressure by pressing down on both suction cups at the same time. Do not press any other part of the clip and it should have been mounted securely. I have had no problems for 3 months let's hope the suction cups last...

I got one of these in 2015 for a car that is primarily parked in a garage and did not leave the transponder attached to the windshield at all times. That holder is still in good shape as of early 2025. The only complaint with that one is that the suction cups have needed to be put in hot water three times over the 10 year period to refresh the suction. I got an identical one in spring 2022 for a car that is not garage kept and the holder was on the windshield at all times. It is now February 2025 and I had to break the holder to get the transponder out of it because of the heat warping it so badly. It also left black stains on the transponder.
