GREAT OPEN BOX SAVINGS
Bought this as an open box unit at $109 which was quite a savings over the regular price. The unit arrived in the original box with all the original packing, parts and manual sealed like it has never been opened. The unit itself was absolutely flawless. It was bought to replace a 9 year old HT-200 unit which developed a leak. Very easy to install since everything from my prior system was there. Just hook up the water lines, purge, for several minutes, plug in, adjust temperature knob and voila... instant hot.I mounted it with a leak tray under the unit. I have been using instant hots for years and everyone without exception eventually leaked somewhere in the 7-10 year time frame.I recommend the product and if you want to save more than half you can take a chance at the open box deals.

Pain in the butt to shoehorn in but works great.
We bought this to replace an earlier model that worked well for 14 years. I remember the plumbers cussing when they installed the original because of the tight workspace. This one is just enough bigger that I had to rework some plumbing.it would have been much easier if they were the same size. Having said that, it works great and I’m glad we bought it.

Great product, fairly easy to install. Pay attention to the hose connectors.
I purchased this one to replace an older Frankie little butler unit. The old one had more copper lines this one was all plastic. Easy enough to install but beware of the tubing connectors. You must insert the tubes deeply into the connector an pull back on the tube and flange so they don’t leak. I put tiny zip ties to hold the flanges in a locked position and have had no leaks in 2 months of use. Steaming hot water instantly!

Works as advertised and easy to install.
Works as advertised and is fairly simple to install. Easy enough to not involve a plumber if you already have filtered water under the sink. The water is hot enough for tea, instant oatmeal, etc. It’s not huge but it barely fit between the cabinet wall and a sliding drawer. Likely no problem in regular cabinets with doors.

designed to fail
My plumber and I followed the installation instructions to the letter on two identical units. As soon as each one was through flushing and we shut the valves, the house water pressure ruptured an inside line that was clearly not designed for the service it was in. both units failed catastrophically and leaked all over my kitchen. My plumber called Franke tech support. They left him on hold for 15 minutes and the call disconnected.Truly one of the worst product experiences I've ever had. I will never buy a Franke product again.

Hot water tank started to leak within 2 years
The water heater ran as expected for less than 2 years and then the hot water tank started to leak.

Easy Installation, works well
I installed this myself, it works well. No complaints so far, we have had it installed for about a month. We have had the insinkerator version of this unit installed in other houses, this one works just as well if not better.
