Milling machine
Smaller than expected. X/Y handles are stiff to operate and not on bearings. The mechanism is unwieldy & unpleasant to operate. Might be useful for hobby making, but not suitable for DIY.

this is a revelation!! - for jst under 20 notes i expected a very poor object but this is well enough built and offered possibilities to anyone with some engineering ability and wherewithal to do it. it has matching dovetail sliders and has brass gibbs!! both with triple adjusters. a bit of flattening for the base, generall overall lubrication and adjustment and it is surprisingly accurate and smooth in operation. - its lightweight aluminium so suitable for alu, brass and plastics machining. ive installed it under a dremel on an accurate upright. the only total fail is the handles - i rebuilt them inc brass bushings and locknuts behind the wheels and also removed the daft ruler scale!!. i expected to have to pay 80 to 100 for something and it probably would have been nowhere near as good as this!!!

Good build quality but slack in the system
For the price, this is quite a heavy built item. With some tinkering it may even be a brilliant item. Unfortunately it was not suitable for my purposes as it has considerable slack in the system. When you change directions there is a moment of "Lag" before it starts moving in the opposite direction. If you don't mind this/it is not critical to your use case, then this is definitely worth the money!I unfortunately would not recommend this item however for high precision applications.I have given the item 3 stars, as it's not great, but for the price it isn't bad for the right person. I will also note that when requested, a return with full refund and free shipping was offered with no fuss.Please note however, if you are disabled and unable to take packages to a drop-off location (Like myself) then it is not so simple as they do not offer pickup returns. Fortunately in the end it was resolved with the seller, but it is worth mentioning to others that it wasn't so easy for myself.
