I had tried a gochujang sauce in a Korean taco before and it was so delicious but had never been able to recreate the sauce. However this sauce is a perfect dupe for it!! It’s slightly spicy and sweet. Reminds me of a more complex teriyaki but spicy and just all around better. I love this on everything and it makes everything taste better.

I had high hopes for this sauce and unfortunately they weren't met. I found the gochujang flavor to be quite subtle and the heat to be nonexistent. I wasn't expecting this to be a spicy hot sauce by any means, but I just find the gochujang flavor quite faint for something labeled as such.That being said, this is a pretty versatile and good sauce in its own right. I see it as a savory barbecue sauce. Whether you're cooking with it or using it for drizzling or dipping with, there's nothing that comes to mind that this sauce won't pair well with.As a gochujang sauce, I can't recommend this sauce or see it as such.But as just a sweet sauce? This is great!

A great ingredient, dipping sauce, sauce for a specific dish or for renewing leftovers the "Ventura Foods Sauce Craft Gochujang Korean Pepper Sauce" has many uses! I've used it on/in grilled meats, stir-fry type meals, veggies and leftovers. It adds a whole new dimension to whatever you are making. You can use a little or a lot depending on your personal preference. I generally use small amounts at a time due to the 350 mg sodium per two tablespoons but that amount covered a lot of food! I used some on leftover eggroll in a bowl from the weekend and it gave it a whole new life. Didn't taste like I was eating leftovers. Easy to change or enhance the flavors of so many foods since you just shake well and pour. I really appreciate this as I make a lot of Asian food and this goes with so much. Received my half gallon in December 2023 and its Best By Date isn't til 7/16/2024. Normally I would refrigerate a sauce like this but due to the larger size bottle I checked the label but couldn't find if it actually requires it or not.

Taste is ok, but the bottle was damaged during transit and had a perforation, which caused the contents to leak everywhere.

I've tried a wide variety of Asian food sauces. Some can be overly sweet or excessively salty, this Gochujang sauce stands out as a delightful combination of sweet, salty, and spicy, flavors. Its an amazing sauce for noodles or rice combined with beef or chicken. Unlike many Asian sauces that tend to be mild, this one offers a pleasantly respectable level of heat without the need for any adjustments with other hot sauces on my part. Its a large size container, 1/2 gallon, however I think I enjoy using it frequently enough that it won't be an issue.
