I am pleased with this hand truck and it seems to be sturdy and well made. The real dimensions are 52.75 inches (1340mm) high (Unfolded from the bottom of the toe plate to the top of the handle) and the usable area of the toe plate is 14 inches wide by 9 inches deep. (356mm x 228mm) weight is 11Kgs.

The media could not be loaded.  My emphasis testing this product lies on overall manufacturing quality, maneuverability and wheels, usability and operation.There's no assembly needed for the Olympia Tools 550lbs folding hand truck -- it comes folded in its carton box and I just needed to remove some protective material.The hand truck is a (very) simple construction, and parts are assembled with screws -- the locking mechanism is simple to use and the way it works makes me very confident it will not unlock accidentally.The entire tool is made of Aluminum and the connecting parts and hinges seem to be steel.The 8-inch wheels with a hard rubber round 'tire' performed well on uneven ground like pathways with smaller and medium sized rocks and gravel.Indoors or on concrete the wheels roll very smooth over the ground.The bottom plate can be opened / unfolded by just using one foot. The locking mechanism is a super simple steel rod that falls into place and locks the bottom plate. Folding the plate back requires moving that rod by hand (easy) and fold up the platform with one or two hands. All that is very intuitive and easy to do.Folded, I measured this hand truck to be ca. 29"h x18"w x 9.5"d -- that size and its weight of ca. 30 lbs (which I haven't verified) makes it in my opinion a very portable hand truck.I do like the simplistic construction of the hand truck -- all makes sense and I know how it works and functions in case something needs to be adjusted or tightened. The wheels can be taken off the axle and as far as I see, the position of the axle can be changed, however, I don't know why I would want to do that, probably until I have a situation where I think, 'maybe I move the axle a little bit'.I don't know, but the 500-pound capability is plenty for what I am foreseeing to do, and I am happy with this hand truck, its maneuverability, its construction, and overall operation.I have no experience in long-term heavy use of this truck and cannot contribute to that matter.

My husband was impressed with this folding hand truck. It came in a box fully assembled and all he had to do was unfold it and it was ready to go to work. I want to throw out that this is a folding hand truck; it does not convert to a dolly with a telescoping handle. It's perfect for moving items that would normally take two people to move. He said it has a good-sized base at the bottom that also folds up for storage. He loaded it into the truck and went to the local nursery to get multiple bags of mulch. He said stacking six bags of mulch on the bottom platform of the hand truck versus carrying one bag at a time to the truck makes it so much easier. It really is easy to unfold for usage and folding it back up for storage, I didn't have any problems when I tried it. He also likes that, when folded, he can put the hand truck into the trunk of a car. So now when one of his friends want to borrow it, he doesn't have to take it to them because they don't have a truck. Now, if they want to borrow his hand truck, they can drive over and get it. My husband likes the size of the wheels on it as it made it a lot easier to use when moving stuff up and down the steps as well as any curbs.

1. It's lightweight for how strong and heavy duty it is.2. It's COMPACT when you fold it up. You can even hang it on a wall, if you have a utility closet.3. It's made REALLY well.4. It has decent sized tires for going up steps.I live in a condo so not all the world of space. I DO have my own garage so I do have some place to store some tools. I have 3 handtrucks. Two of them are the very light duty ones with "rubber" caster wheels you can pick up at the warehouse clubs. I only have two because one is actually going to go off with my adult son when he moves out. But I still needed a heavier duty one for larger and heavier items. BUT, I don't have suburban space in my urban "palace". THIS hand truck solved that for me. It's aluminum and light. Great big tires for steps. It's folds up into a neat little package. Light enough to hang it on a wall.I like it quite a bit! I highly recommend this one!

This dolly is made of aluminum so it's lightweight. It has rubber rounded wheels on it held in by a cotter pin. I like that it folds down so I can fit it in a car. It's almost flat and takes up little room inside the car. Once you have it locked in it feels sturdy. I didn't have any problems moving heavy boxes around. I think it's worth the money it's built out of sturdy materials and it feels good when you're using.

As someone familiar with warehouse materials due to my line of work, this hand truck is the lightest I've ever used. Due to its aluminum structure, it's naturally lightweight, but I never expected it to be this sturdy. I'm accustomed to the durability of iron or steel hand trucks, but seeing the same performance from aluminum surprised me. After folding it, it takes up very little space; you can hang it on the wall or simply leave it on the side because it truly takes up no space at all. I like the size of its wheels because they needed to be slightly larger to support the 550 lbs weight. It doesn't require any assembly, by the way. You can start using it right out of the box. Definitely well made, definitely a sturdy and durable hand truck.

This is really an excellent handtruck. I love how it’s easy to fold. There’s a bracket for the handle, you lift the handle up, slide the bracket down and it locks it in place. That bracket is not going anywhere. It’s not going to break on you. And the bottom baseplate of the handtruck is easy to fold down. It’s just as easy to fold back up by lifting the bar that locks it in place. It’s really well-made. It’s nice thick heavy duty aluminum with rivets and welds, and nuts and bolts, to hold all the parts in place. The base plate is very low to ground so it makes it easy to maneuver heavy items into it. Easy to roll up stairs that aren’t too high. Excellent buy.
