How much whisky should you add to make a tastier marmalade?

I add a couple of tablespoons at the end to make sure the alcohol doesn't evaporate. Be careful it doesn't get too runny. I use jam sugar - has added pectin.

has anyone made this in a slow cooker and if so how long did you cook it for on high

I would never attempt to make it in a slow cooker!! It needs a 'rolling boil' which can only be done in a normal pan. And it only takes 30 mins. or so, for each tin, from start to finish!!

I want to make it not so sweet how much sugar can leave out without altering the marmalade or should I use lemon juice

I use half the amount of sugar it says on the tin. You only get 4lb of marmalade and not 6, but it's delicious!

The instructions are on the side of the tin. They are not very clear because of the ripples on the tin.
