'Small' roughly represents a 32 inch waist and length is adjusted by tying the trouser bottoms snug to ankle on top of boot or trainer to stop it slipping to ground....hope this is helpful!

Q: Do they shrink at all when washed?

No. I’ve washed them on a very hot wash. Great trousers but very long in the leg. If you are 7 foot tall they’ll fit ok.
