Love it!
Purchased because I saw a friend had an Echo in her kitchen. I LOVE this gadget, I can watch programs and use it as a little TV.Purchasing a refurb was no problem either. Not a mark on it and really well packaged. Couldn’t be happier :-)

Don't waste your time
The most useless DSE device ever invented, the widgets are pointless the streaming options are awful & in my opinion it's no better than a 4th gen echo dot.

Working as expected
Working OK great as screen for cameras , Music sounds good played through it & easy to set up Sometimes the touch screen is awkward & takes well to work . ,but in all happy with this purchase

Hardware and Audio issues not up to par of earlier generation Amazon smart home.
So far not impressed… I have gen 1, 2 and now 3 on all Echo show 8, and 5. Plus Echo Dots, clock etc.Heavily invested in my smart home, with routines to reduce energy costs.I prefer shape and design of 1 & 2.Previous generations were Sleek and smooth gen 2 even tracked objects.3rd Gen Ring camera doesn't auto show (its owned by Amazon), plus its slower to respond, or claims not to understand or how to help which worries me as disabled widow. I use smart home to ensure I stay safe and can contact my care team for help if needed.Then Audio started jumping both in music, announcements, and drop-in calls.Its design is cumbersome and requires completely NEW STAND.Not worth the expense, doesn't function well, accuracy only with many requests or attempts

Excellent audio, slow performing, will not ring as ring chime
The audio is excellent, I love to play music all the time.The device performance/speed is very slow, I am not able to get the system specifications anywhere. And you will see the device is very slow performing when you use it regularly. Sometimes it will irritate you as it does a different job when you ask to perform something else.This is not going to do the job of "ring chime", it notify if someone is at the door, but this notification is very low in sound and just once and you can't hear it if you are not next to the device. This means, if you plan to buy in place of chime, you will be disappointed as me. This could have been made to be a chime, but not done intentionally to make multiple product lines and sell for different purposes and make money.I will post future if any critical findings from the device.

Not impressed
I couldn't get this Show to do the things I wanted. Returned and continued to use my spot. Not worth the spend IMO.
