Safety 1st Adhesive Magnetic Lock System, 2 Locks And 1 Key

Installation was easy. You can rely on the included adhesive alone or can opt to add screws for extra security. The adhesive has held up just fine though, after more than a year of use. The magnet key works reliably. You don't have to be terribly precise with the placement. It helps that we aligned the latches with the door handles so that the handles act as guides for placing the magnet. A nice feature is the optional hold open switch that lets you disable the latch without removing it. It's useful if we're cooking something that requires repeated cabinet access and our toddler is out of the kitchen. Be sure to store the key out of reach. Kids can be shockingly observant and will figure out how to use it sooner than you might think. If our two year old gets ahold of the key she goes straight to the cabinet and places it precisely where it goes to unlock the door. Thankfully it hasn't yet occurred to her to try using fridge magnets as substitute keys.

Oh, the whining and complaining that this has brought to my home! "Daaaaaaaaad! Now we have to ASK for treats!? That's SO LAME (sighs)" Yep, you sure do! My woman gets her cookies on her terms and the kids still think these get unlocked by my iPhone because I stick a magnet on my case and wave it over the lock in order to unlock it. They don't see the magnet on the back of my phone and think the phone is doing the unlocking, not the magnet! 🤣 On a side note, this is pretty much all plastic in its construction. So if they want in and really don't respect your rules at all, they're breaking in no problem. As a barrier that'll make a lot of noise if it's destroyed while opening the door though? It'll work just fine! 👍🏼

I personally love the Safety1st magnetic locking system! I used it when my daughter was a toddler and she is now 6 years old. My son is 2 and I use still use it and it is as fictional as ever! It is super easy to install—it comes with a 3M command strip that is durable and will be easy to remove in the future if needed. It also came with a small installation template that simplified the installation even more! The magnet is durable as well and makes for easy opening when needed! I also love the function of being able to keep it locked if I need it to be and unlock when I don’t! Additionally, my son is a string 2 year old and has attempted to put all of his effort into opening the cabinet for a snack and its strong locking system withstood that effort! Overall awesome product and would definitely recommend!

This cabinet lock is amazing. I didn’t buy it for children, I bought it for my cat! He is very smart and has learned how to open the cabinet where I keep the treats, chewy meds for the dog, and other meal additives (fish oil). I had first purchased a different lock that had zip ties and a secret button to open. But there was still enough play between the two cabinet doors to create a gap, to which little Mr GrabbyPaws could reach in and fish something out. This is by far easier to use and looks better as there is nothing hanging on the outside of the cabinets. I was concern about the strength of the magnet, my cabinets are a thick wood, there was not problem, it works great.

The Safety 1st Adhesive Magnetic Lock System has been a really helpful addition to our home for childproofing cabinets and drawers. The locks themselves are strong and do exactly what they’re supposed to do. They stay completely hidden inside the cabinet, which keeps everything looking clean and uncluttered, and they’ve been very effective at keeping little hands out of places they shouldn’t be. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the magnetic key. It works great, but it’s small and easy to misplace. That said, replacements are inexpensive and easy to find, so it’s more of a minor inconvenience than a dealbreaker. Overall, this is a reliable, no-fuss childproofing solution that works well and looks discreet—just make sure you keep track of the key!

We use this to keep food from disappearing from the pantry- cause seven kids🤩 Works great. Even better when you remember where you put the magnetic key.

It takes a bit to put these locks in but it is worth it. I use the screws and it stays put. It opens pretty easily with the magnetic lock. They are very durable and no matter how my 2yo trys she can't open the drawers. Highly recommend.

I really like this lock. I especially like that you can change it to an unlocked position vs locked and that it has a nice strong adhesive so I did not have to put any holes in my drawer. The one issue was that this was clearly intended for an off-set cabinet (which would cover most uses), not a flush-closed scenario like I have. The fix for me was to install a wood block just inside the top of my drawer (I was able to just use wood glue to adhere it) and install the latch on block . Once I figured out the fix it was pretty easy to install and it works great!

I bought these adhesive magnetic locks, and they have been fantastic. The 3M strips work so well that I haven't needed to screw them into my cabinets, which is great for when I go to remove them in a couple of years. The installation method and instructions are super clear and clever. Once you do one, the rest are a breeze. I've used these locks on a variety of different cabinet styles, and they work well on all of them. I love the ability to leave them unlocked when the kids are in bed and lock them when they are around. The magnets work great, and I have no complaints. I've ordered and installed a few sets, and they have all performed excellently. Overall, these adhesive magnetic locks are a great solution for childproofing cabinets without causing any permanent damage. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend these if you are particular about the way your things look but still need to keep the children out. They work very well and are completely hidden I don’t think there is anything else on the market this clean looking when installed. They are also much higher quality than the cheaper options

I typically use the Munchkin Xtraguard latches but they wouldn't work with the cupboard where I stored my canned/dry food due to the configuration of our kitchen. We're renting and I didn't want to screw anything into the cupboards. This works perfectly! I wondered if I would find having to unlock the cupboard with the key to be a nuisance but it unlocks quickly and easily. Certainly less of a nuisance than my 4-year-old and 2-year-old unloading the cupboard. I would definitely recommend and will consider using in the future.

j'ai un gamin de 2ans et demi qui commence à faire le curieux à la maison, bien entendu, j'ai donc des choses à garder hors de sa portée, et je ne voulais surtout amocher mon nouveau tiroir, alors ce kit me parait la solution parfaite !! le kit est vraiment complet, et on tout ce qu'il faut pour l'installer sans aucun outil supplémentaire, le manuel est super bien expliqué, et il y a même une sorte de guide en plastique qui est censé aider à installer le verrou correctement. cependant, j'ai enlevé une étoile, car le process d'installation n'est pas adapté à tous les types de tiroirs, alors j'ai due adapter l'installation à mo, type de tiroir pour que ca marche. une fois installé, ça fonctionne mieux que je l'avais espéré. le verrou est solide, l'adhésif est 3M et super résistant, quasiment impossible à forcer par un goss (bien sur un voleur peut très bien le faire, mais ce n'est pas fait pour bien sur) la mécanique interne semble aussi être bien conçu, je me suis amusé à ouvrir et ferme pendant des heures, à essayer de le pousser à bout ou de le forcer à boguer, aucun espoir, ça marche comme il se doit à tous les coup !!!!!! même l'aimant est super puissant, et dévrouille le tiroire à 2cm de la paroie, avant meme de la toucher. seul petit regret: j'aurai aimé que la clé magnétique soit un peu plus petite, et qu'elle contienne un trou, comme ça on peut l'attacher à une porte clé ou un mousqueton, pour éviter de la perdre facilement. bref, ce verrou a surmonté absolument tous mes test, et dépasse toutes mes attentes. je recommande.
