This is a great light. I bought my first one in a shop. Haven’t been able to find another one since. So when seeing this available on Amazon I jumped at the chance, despite it being a bit pricy.Charges well. Last a few weeks on charge with constant use. PIR sensitive, so works well. Also has a constant on mode.My other light is 4 years old, and still going strong, so I hope this one will too. With a name like Osram I’m sure it will.

I have installed this lamp in my home office so when I just pop in at night to pick something up for example I get an instant light without having to bump about finding my desk lamp. I'm very impressed with the quality and with the fact it is recharged through USB. Using the supplied self adhesive magnetic strip it took about 15 seconds to secure the lamp to a cupboard door.

Osram LED Luminaire Linear Light (with motion senser)This is a 30cm automatic light fitted with a motion senser and is ideal for those dark places that don't normally have lighting. It is re-chargeable via a USB or a UK 3 pin plug with a USB slot. and comes with a (very short) USB charge cable. When low on charge, the unit displays a red light and when fully charged - a green light.Osram is well known for the quality of it's products and from what I can see, this fitting is no different. There are 3 switch positions ...AUTO, OFF and ON. Off and on are self explanatory whilst Auto means the light will be activated when movement is detected...in the dark. Thus it is perfect for a wardrobe, cupboard that needs light infrequently. I am using mine in the under stairs / alarm cupboard and I have to say it's great for instant light once the door is opened and I can see the alarm control panel easily.There are no instructions with this fitting just a few drawings on the back of the blister pack and this has clearly led to some confusion about the use. There is a self adhesive strip for the full length on the back to hold it in place where ever you want to place it. OK so far but what happens when you want to charge it ? With only a 10" USB lead, you are going to have to remove it from the wall since the battery is sealed inside. The self adhesive strip won't last long if the light fitting has to be continually removed and replaced...something wrong here. Somehow I thought Osram would not release such a unit with so obvious a design flaw and yet that's how it appeared. A closer inspection of the drawing on the back of the pack clearly shows the protective paper strip being peeled away from the adhesive but also shows the strip separated from the fitting ! Back to the unit and I tried a screwdriver point under the adhesive strip to find that it is MAGNETIC on one side and adhesive on the other....simples. (not really because two / three words would have avoided the doubt clearly felt by those who like me had serious misgivings about having to remove it for charging with it stuck to the wall.)So you fix it in place and when you need to re-charge it you remove the fitting leaving the adhesive strip in place on the wall. After charging, the light is re-attached via the magnetic side of the strip.Yes we got there in the end but some reviewers didn't so Mr Osram a couple of words on the pack to help. A nice fitting with a bright light, very useful in awkward dark places, smart and stylish but it is not immediately obvious that the adhesive strip is magnetic so why confuse people.

Illuminates my understairs cupboard very well. Sticky backed magnetic strip made for easy installation and subsequent removal and replacement for recharging. Battery life seems good thus far. Would recommend.

Rather strange to read all these reviews talking about the short sub recharging cable. Nice arrived with six standard AA batteries and does not have a recharging option. I didn't mind that too much, but unfortunately the batteries were all flat. I have requested a replacement & will update the review when I get a working unit.

Excellent light for under stairs coat cupboard.

Excellent product had one before and dropped it could do with packing behind the battery to stop it snapping the wire connection

Die 20cm lange Version (batteriebetrieben) ist perfekt für einen schwedischen 50cm Kleiderschrank.Beim Öffnen der Tür schaltet sich das Lichtautomatisch an und nach 20-30s nach Schließen der Tür wieder aus. Aufgrund der Rezessionen hier daß die 30cm lange Version abfällt habe ich die kleinere=leichtere Version gewählt und diese nach Aufkleben des Magnetstreifens zusätzlich mit zwei 2,5x10 Holzschrauben gesichert.Bei mir ist die Entfernung von der vorderen Kante 10cm und der Bewegungsmelder funktioniert einwandfrei. Bitte beachten für eine gleichmäßige Ausleuchtung: Die Mitte der Lampe ist nicht die Mitte der LED (wegen Schalter und Sensor), also ein paar cm asymmetrisch montieren

Ho installato questa utilissima e funzionale lampada all'interno del grande armadio del mio camper, al posto di quella originale che mi mangiava due batterie (particolari e solo Duracell) in poche settimane. Oltre a fare una luce più efficiente, la carica dura tantissimo e poi è usb....che altro cercare?

Bon produit qui éclaire bien (mis dans la cuisine au dessus d'un évier pour avoir une lumière d'appoint), cet éclairage d'appoint est suffisant pour faire les tâches secondaires dans la cuisine. La présence de 6 piles permet d'avoir une bonne lumière. Réglage possible OFF/ON et détecteur de mouvements (tempo du détecteur non réglable) le temps d'éclairage en mode détection est d'environs 20 sec puis la lampe s’éteint si pas de mouvement. La mise en place est très facile, fixation par vis ou possibilité de coller à l'aide de la plaque prè encoller, l’éclairage vient alors sur cette plaque à l'aide d'aimant, je l'ai collé sur ma hotte de cuisine et ça tien bien.

Otras barras me han dado problemas, pero estas, de momento al menos, ningún problema y buena iluminación en mi pasillo

"La batería está incluída en la Luminaria y es reemplazable" Y tanto. Aunque deberían decir "baterías". Mejor dicho, deberían decir las cosas como son, porque lo que lleva son 4 pilas AA LR6. Evidentemente, si pones pilas recargables, pues cuela un poco más.Y lo más penoso es que te aconsejan atornillar (vale, solo es la opción 1, pero creo que no hay que ir a Salamanca para entender el mensaje) el imán al sitio donde vayas a ponerlo...Claramente me equivoqué, no es lo que esperaba.
