It works well for what I needed, however it definitely is not going to shoot 120 yards as described.

Not a bad launcher, but the 120 yard unit might go (at most) 75 yards, unless you're slinging water balloons in a vaccuum. And to send it the furthest it can go, you'll need quite a strong person (adult) to pull it back and let it go. Don't think you can have a kid hold the other ends either. You MUST secure at least one side to a post or tree, otherwise you'll be lucky to have it travel 40 yards. Best case is to try and build a wooden transportable launch station that you can mount to the ground or in the dirt, and do all the launching with one person. Still, a lot of fun this thing is.

I modified this launcher to pitch a forester weight attached to a poly line over tree limbs. After the line is in place I pull a more substantial rope over the limb to pull it down. This is not what it is sold for but much cheaper than the forestry launchers. I think it would work well with water baloons.

My son wanted his birthday party to have an "Angry Birds" theme, and so I got the idea to make him a life-sized version of the game in the yard, using this launcher as a slingshot, and tennis balls painted to look like Angry Birds, fired toward stacked boxes to knock over. This thing shoots fast and far; if you're launching anything out of it but water balloons, it would be wise to stay out of the line of fire. Another idea using tennis balls with it, is to fire them out of the launcher into a large yard for a dog to chase. We're probably going to take it out this fall and use it to shoot hedge apples at a brick wall to watch them go splat. LOL. I've seen other reviewers using this for mini "pumpkin chunkin" and "apple chunkin" so the possibilities for this toy are endless.Also worth noting, as it was influential in my purchase, that this product is made in USA. This is great for supporting American jobs!

Great for cake or pizza! Not super strong but held up just fine for cake and pizza party. Really great design and fast shipping.

The launcher did not work for water balloons (the self filling ones from Costco). We were so let down!
