It’s good
Pros: I like it, smells good, cleans well, and a lot lighter in weight than liquid detergents. I order this online so I don’t have to buy detergent when I do groceries which is usually the heaviest thing in the cart. Also it’s cruelty free and claims it’s environment friendly and it’s what I’m looking for these days.Cons: the packaging says 1 scoop is good for 1 load. But usually when I do medium loads, I had to put 3 scoops if its cottons, and less if it’s jeans/bed sheets. Because if not, I don’t see bubbles and the clothes don’t come out smelling fresh.I’ve read reviews that this stained some of their clothes, so what I normally do is I dilute 1 scoop in a tall cup of warm water and add it in the washer’s dispenser drawer like liquid detergent instead of adding the powder directly on the clothes. I have no bleached/stain issue so far. Most importantly, this product is very powdery and I recommend wearing an N95 mask when scooping the powder. I inhaled this many times so I had to wear a protective mask (similar to painting mask). It’s a little inconvenient but I like it and I would buy again.

Various issues
I like that it's supposed to be good for the environment. I don't like the fact that every time I open the box to use it, the powder makes me choke. The powder is not easily transitioned to the washer without getting some on the floor. The powder doesn't always dissolve as it should and sometimes leaves powder on the washer door and clothes even when using warm water--even after using a second rinse cycle, there has been some powder that didn't dissolve in the washer.

Wear a mask when scooping to avoid inhaling the dust
I like this product. It eliminates the huge plastic waste of conventional laundry detergent bottles, and it eliminates some bad chemicals from entering the environment. My clothes come out clean and softer than with detergent. The unscented version has been kind to my sensitive skin. Many reviewers mention the dust rising up from the product. After several years of wearing masks I certainly have a few around and I just keep one on top of the box and wear it when scooping the product, which seems like an easy solution. The bag inside the box should be improved so the soap doesn't escape during shipping and create mess and waste. If the manufacturer would just clip or tape it shut before shipping that would solve that problem.

doesnt clean well
i really wanted to like this but it just doesnt clean well and if you use cold water to wash you have to dissolve it in water first. you need to wear a mask when opening and handeling because its very easy to accidently get it in your respiratory which I dont like. this would be better if it were in liquid form instead of the lightweight flakes. it is unscented and does leave your clothes soft but unfortunstely just doesnt clean well. i like that it doesnt use dangerous chemicals and has no plastic. but because it doesnt do what its intended for and because it easily gets into respiratory when handeling, I cant recommend.

Gets clothes super clean
After using arm and hammer for years my husband had a bad reaction to it. We found this and it has been wonderful to use. Our clothes are so clean and soft. Softer than what they have been in years.

This is the one
This is natural soap, not synthetic detergent. Also does not come in little pouches made of micro plastics; it's a powder and you just scoop it.You have to use warm water for it to fully dissolve. Warm water of contemporary washing machines is around 80 degrees F and uses around a gallon of hot water to get there, which does not add significantly to our hot water use. And it's offset by only using the express wash cycle, which I find always sufficient for any job.The powder dust is a real thing. When I transfer the contents of the box into a plastic container for storage, I hold my breath and leave the room for a while. Scooping out the tablespoon and a half you need for a load doesn't quite pollute the air so much but I hold my breath then too.Lasts around five months doing laundry 4-5 times a week. This is the one laundry soap product I'll use the rest of my life, unless some cheaper but equally effective product comes along.

Buyer beware- Wear a mask before mixing
I wash my laundry in cold water (like I think most people do unless you’re trying to kill lice or something) and saw that you had to pre-mix this powder soap in warm water before adding to the washer. Although it’s an additional step, I thought I would give it a try for the sake of the environment. I learned after the first time to wear a mask when I made my mix. Just slowly and carefully adding the one scoop of powder into my jar of warm water burns my nostrils and throat and makes me cough like I inhaled it. And what’s weird to me is I don’t see any dust in the air when I’m pouring. I am covering my mouth and nose with a mask or my shirt now to get through this box of soap. I also don’t think it dissolves very well, but maybe it’s coconut flakes. It doesn’t removes stains, but it washes and rinses good enough. Unfortunately, I will continue my search for an eco friendly no plastic laundry soap.
