I am new to watercolor painting. I’ve always used the plastic palates. This ceramic dish was beautiful and has varied sizes for mixing spaces. Very sturdy and easy to wash.

PROS: This palette has plenty of mixing wells. Great when you need lots of spaces for small color mixes to vary colors. Contains a total of 21 mixing wells in a compact space. Cleans easily.CONS: Not the best choice when you need large mixing spaces for big puddles of color. Not the best palette for large brushes.

i love this pallet this is a beautiful compact pallet. I have been wanting to purchase this palate for over 1 year. I am so happy I finally got it and it was on sale.

Great for mixing small portions of paint. Amazing for people like me who have messy pallets and can't maintain a clean one. Fabolous for those who mix colors with small increments of changes, recommended for people who use monochromatic color schemes. You can use the entire surface to mix variations of one color. Even better the wells are small!Sorry I wish I took a picture of the pallet while I was working. Attached is a painting that I was working on. In the corner you can kinda see two pallets. The square watercolor one is typically a mess! I keep mixing paints directly in the square one and ruining the pure colors of my tube paints. The rose pallet is gouache and it makes me separate colors. I can add a small amount of paint to different places and not worry about them bleeding together! I can leave them there to dry and re-wet gouache for later use. Again not worrying about colors bleeding. You can see part of the rose pallet on the side.

The small wells of various sizes works great for me. It is perfect for bottled ink work where you might use many colors diluted to different amount. I don't have to worry about cleaning up right away because the inks wash off after a hot water soak with a bit of nail scratching or a scouring pad. The weight and low profile feels very sure footed on my art tray so I don't worry about bumping or tipping it. I would not recommend using the heart wells on the underside because the flat surface is not glazed - I assume this would not wash clean if stained. I would also choose not to use this for travelling - its heavy and could break but not easily unless dropped.Update note: I have been using it for porcelain paint as well. I can peel and scrape the paint of without causing any damage to the ceramic coating. I've had it for a while and still give this a score of 5.

Very cute pallet, easy clean up, very sturdy. All reviews were for watercolor paints. I knew it was small, I use acrylic it works fine but holds very little paint. I’m really trying to love it, the concept of different sized wells for the paint is brilliant. I’ll have to set it aside for use when I’m doing more detailed work, requiring several colors in small amounts. I wish the manufacturer would make a similar product double the size with a cover.

Really just an all around solid ceramic palette. Very sturdy, i even (irresponsibly) use it on my bed sometimes because it's heavy and don't move around. A very nice variety of sizes of wells for mixing in a beautiful pattern, and it always rinses off like a dream, whether it's fresh paint or month old caked on paint. I use gouache and watercolor in this palette, and can't speak to other paints coming off this easily, but i imagine at least acrylic would also chip off the smooth surface fairly easily. My favorite pallet i own since 2018, 2022 now, and I still only reach for this palette.

i thought this would make painting extra fun and pretty and it does! very beautiful when it's loaded with some colors and start mixing. it's not huge, but i don't paint large pieces so it works really well for me. if i don't use all the paint i let it dry; when i walk by my art table and see this rose palette filled with bright colors it makes me want to sit down and paint, so that's a bonus incentive. i also have some plain porcelain dipping bowls when i need a little larger mixing space but i prefer to work out of the rose wells, it's just so happy :)the first palette i ordered had a small defect in the glaze in one of the wells, paint pigments quickly started spreading under the glaze and turning black. i contacted the seller and they promptly sent out a replacement. great product, great customer service!

Es muy bonita y esto estimula su uso. La caja contenedora vino dañada pero el producto estaba bien.Lo único es que tenía la sensación que iba a ser más grande, a mi gusto se queda un poco pequeña.

Just gorgeous!!!! Love this palette so much I bought 2 of them. Pretty AND practical. Not too heavy either. Some of the wells are not that big, but big enough for my watercolours, except maybe for large washes. Perfect for mixing and small washes.

Well made with lots of small areas for mixing colours. Ideal for watercolour and small enough to slip in a travel pack. Very easy to clean, thus keeping a lovely white base for showing accurate colour.As always Meeden products are excellent.

My favourite mixing palette. It is small and very portable for art trips. It has an incredible amount of mixing wells. The porcelain works so much better than plastic palettes. Brilliant.

So great I ended up getting another so I had one for gouache and one for watercolours . It’s bigger than I expected which was an added bonus . Looks like a work off art and I will use this for many years to come
