I try to baby the thing, but within a week one of my Joy-Cons was forced off, damaging its plastic lock. I looked online everywhere for replacement parts. eBay, Amazon, Ali Express, etc. No one seemed to have anything. I either had to live with a damaged Joy-Con, or place the whole thing (NOT cheap). There are finally replacement parts available - but not just any replacement parts, replacement parts that are BETTER than the original part. No more soft plastic to get damaged. Nope. Now they are made of metal. Installation was relatively easy. Take out some screws, pry out a metal bar, swap the little lock piece. When all assembled, the new parts worked like the old, my Joy-Cons are both securely snapped in place, and I get the satisfaction of knowing they are more durable than when new!
