Ghostface Killah's 12 Reasons to Die may be just a few months old but it's already consider one of his best releases to date. Many say the project, featuring production from Adrian Younge, is Ghost's best album since Fishscale. So good that it gets a second look and a whole new sound with the Apollo Brown version 12 Reasons to Die: The Brown Tape. Apollo Brown was asked by Soul Temple Records to record an alternate to the Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge album. To date it has only been released as a bonus cassette version (Hence The Brown Tape tag). Keep in mind, the up and coming Detroit producer did not create a remix album, Brown was in fact given access to Ghostface Killah's acapellas and constructed beats around GFK's work. This made the project one of the budding producer's most challenging projects to date. That hard work has paid of as The Brown Tape is also one of Brown's best works to date and certainly an indication of the quality body of work still to come from Apollo Brown.

Ghostface Killah & Adrian Younge
Most typical Ghost - intelligent honest and often funny! This album isn't overly predictable - a concept album that follows through which is rare these days and especially in hip hop. But highly recommended. Other reviewers aren't too happy with the beats and production - the beats are appropriate considering the albums theme but some of the production requires attention. On some of the tracks its difficult to hear the vocals which is essential in rap so this is unforgivable.Hip Hop producers and artists need to listen and learn from the likes of Drake on this front. Even if you don't like his music or a particular track, you can always hear his vocal! Don't they ever listen to the playback before shipping???

Great
This is a soundtrack to a fictional movie with a crazy plot which I probably wouldn't care for otherwise, but as an album by the charismatic Ghostface Killah it is a thoroughly enjoyable thrill ride. He may be effectively reading from a script but that's a good thing here. Producer Adrian Younge has brought out the best in Ghost, and also his co-stars who are all members or affiliates of the legendary Wu tang clan. It would have been nice if the album had been longer than 40 minutes, but on the plus side there are really no skippable tracks. Definitely one of the best latter day Wu tang albums.

Ghostface doesn't slow down
The Clan had ups and downs but Ghostface Killah always handled his business. Funny concept, strong beats and bonus disk with all instumentals just ices the cake. This one can be put next to "Ironman" and "Supreme Clientelle" as his best efforts.

Ghostface still the G O D
Haunting beats produced to perfection coupled with trademark Ghostface spitting and the boss collaborations that are obligatory for any WU related record. Everything about this album oozes class, even the artwork. BUY IT- regardless of whether or not you're a hip hop fan. Anyone who appreciates art will appreciate this. I can't recommend it highly enough.

rap cd
This is not that good, bought it thinking killas voice would shine through eminently but was disappointed when hearing the tracks. Best to stick with the collectives such as mobb deep.

Twelve Reasons to Die
Twelve Reasons to Die was given as a gift to compliment a friend's CD collection. It is a matter of some concern however that Amazon have failed to provide a refund for a faulty Samsung laptop which was returned to A&S Media.
