Very versatile gimble
I recently purchased this Feiyu All-in-One Gimbal and it has exceeded my expectations. Not only is it lightweight, coming in at less than 2 pounds, but it also supports GoPro, mirrorless cameras, and smartphones, making it versatile for any shooting situation. One of the standout features for me is the AI tracking sensor, which seamlessly follows me as I move, ensuring I never miss a shot. The touch screen is incredibly sensitive and user-friendly, making navigation a breeze even in challenging conditions. Additionally, the abundance of accessories that come with the gimbal adds to its value and versatility, allowing me to customize my setup to fit any scenario. Overall, this gimbal is a fantastic investment for any video enthusiast looking to elevate their content creation game.

Setting up this gimbal frustrates me
While it's a good quality, I can never get this to set this up perfectly with my Canon R7 with the 18-150 Kit lens. It makes me crazy the amount of time it takes me. I really want to like this unit and maybe it's just a matter of practice. But when shooting lifestyle videos or product photography... I usually end up putting it away and try capturing the video using either my tripod or just handheld. I'll keep trying.

Nice Little Gimbal
This is my first new gimbal since I got the original DJI Ronin S five years ago. The Ronin is a solid gimbal that is still going strong, but after I got away from doing real estate videos regularly, I found myself not pulling it out and even avoiding using it. This is because the original Ronin is heavy, it is awkward to transport because it doesn't have lockable arms, and it suffers from microjitters more than newer gimbals do. I wasn't sure what to expect with this Scorp Mini 2, but overall I would say that I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. I wish it had more tuning and customization options like the Ronin gimbals have, but I don't miss the lack of customization too much because this gimbal has a pretty good tune right out of the box. I've been flying a Sony A7IV with a Tamron 17-28 on this gimbal, which is right at its recommended weight limit. I had to add some counterweights to get it to balance properly and still have the clearance to use it underslung. I wouldn't recommend this as a primary gimbal for a full frame camera as you will only be able to use smaller lenses with it. You definitely won't be getting 10 hours of battery life when using a full-size camera on this gimbal either. For lighter payloads, it seems like a strong performer though, and honestly the motors seem to handle my A7IV just fine. Except for the battery life be reduced to probably closer to 4 hours (this is a rough estimate based on about an hour of use.), the heavier payload doesn't seem to be straining the gimbal motors from what I can tell. I definitely prefer the smaller size when compared to the original Ronin S, and I haven't noticed any microjitters with the Scorp Mini 2. It's seems to have a much smoother tune than the original Ronin. This little gimbal actually has some interesting character to it. My older Ronin always felt kind of rigid and robotic, which is another reason I haven't used it much recently. This Scorp Mini has a more organic feel to it that is somewhere between a larger gimbal and handled shooting. It's actually fairly pleasant and with a little post-processing I think you could get a feel similar to a handheld cinema camera out of it. The build quality is mostly plastic and it does feel a little more like a child's toy when compared to the more pro-feeling Ronins, but I think it is sufficiently sturdy to handle the loads that it is rated for. I wish you could get about an extra half pound of payload out of this gimbal as that would open up a lot more lens options for full-frame cameras, but it is what it is. The locking arms are a nice quality-of-life feature. I like the front wheel for adjusting the tilt. The touchscreen works well, but the joystick is a little lacking. I don't feel like I get fine enough control with the joystick to ever actually use it while filming. The AI tracking works well. The motion is fairly fluid. it feels a little robotic, but it seems to mostly avoid hard starts and stops. I don't know how much I will actually use it, but it's nice to know that it is there. Overall, I am happy with this lightweight little gimbal. The original Ronin S still beats it for payload, battery life, and customization. But as long as you're happy with the Scorp Mini 2's default tune, I would say that it is superior to the Ronin S in pretty much every other way. I'm actually debating bringing this along as my only gimbal for my next documentary because I'm going to need to travel light. I'm still debating if this little guy is really ready for a pro shoot, but I think I might give it a shot. As long as the weight limit isn't going to be a problem for you, I would say that this is an excellent entry-level gimbal.
