can this be fitted below sink waste level want to get rid of soil stack in bathroom to give cleaner lines, rather than boxing in and tiling round

I bought mine for external use so I would not have to put the stack pipe up beside & above my new roof dormer, and like the another person, who responded to this question, I can see no reason why it could not be fitted below sink waist level, but It would be best to make sure it's OK if the planed position was going to be below the toilet waste outlet (if that's possible)

Hi, UK Building Regulations (document H1, section 1.33) states 'Air admittance valves should not be used outside buildings or in dust laden atmospheres', so you will not be complying with the Building Reg's if you fit this as per the manufacturer's recommendations. The reason for the above statement is that debris, and insects or spiders can gain ingress and force open the vent seal, preventing it from functioning, and there is no current testing method for this type of ingress The only acceptable way, according to the Building Regulations, for an air admittance valve to be installed outside a building if it is is housed within an enclosure, preventing said ingress.

Great price

Bought from Amazon as was better price than else where. High quality product and very easy to fit. We no longer have a 3ft soil vent pipe above the roof line which the birds always used to love perching on and doing their business…which was above a glass conservatory roof below.

Very well made

Always had issues with outside open vented soil stacks in house whenever stormy weather would come it would cause shower traps to go dry. Replaced the standard open vent with Air Admittance Valve and so far even though we have had a number of windy storms there are no more issues with traps going dry

Brilliant product at a brilliant price!!!

I needed to find a solution to a stinking soil pipe located in my back yard which made life hell during summer. Im not a plumber or anything like that so wasn't too sure what I could do to block off the stench which filled my garden and living room depending on the wind direction. Finally I stumbled across this little gem of a thing and my problem has been instantly solved. No fixing or sealing required..It just fits into the end of the end of the soil pipe and thats it..smell is gone!! As an added bonus, it's also legal(which is why I had to stop stuffing the pipe with bin bags/shopping bags etc). Lastly at the time of me doing this review, the exact same valve was nearly twice the price at Screwfix..so it's a winner all-round. Thanx guyz!!!

Fit for Purpose and Excellent Delivery

This was the Plumber specified item to complete a soil pipe modification and I found the best price and delivery option on Amazon. Item was delivered the following morning and fitted within 5 minutes of delivery (access already in place). A much neater looking solution than extending the pipe up past the eaves.

Don't buy anything else

The product did exactly what I needed it to do. It has stopped the waste ventilation returning back into the house. It was the exact size I needed and fitted snug into the soil pipe. The company who sold it was fast to deliver and I'd definitely recommend buying again if needed another one
