Safe and reliable. All you need!
I purchased 2 of these after looking at quite a few safes and lock boxes. So far no complaints. Very compact, fits into most any drawer or closet. Smaller than your average box of cereal. Box is pretty sturdy. Haven't intentionally dropped it at all, but has a good weight to it. TBD on the real survival rate but I'm fairly confident in it. Box definitely serves it's intended purpose well. Fits a sidearm with attachments along with a few magazines, and the mechanism is most definitely complicated enough to keep out young children or allow Intruders to get into it with any speed. I think it's a great value even if it's more expensive than other gun safes because it is purely mechanical and quick access!

Exact match for my needs
The box is as advertised. I was looking for a safe storage device that would allow quick access. This item fits the bill. The manual combination usage is exactly what I was looking for. It works without batteries or electricity. It is sturdier than I expected. It takes a minute to get the hang of quickly opening it, but with practice it becomes second nature. I'm very pleased with this STOPBOX.

Secure, simple, fast and easy to use
I bought the StopBox Pro because I wanted a better way to secure a handgun without relying on batteries, electronics, fingerprints, or a keypad. The mechanical finger-code system is simple, and after a little practice it becomes very quick to open. I like that it adds a real layer of security compared with leaving a firearm unsecured in a drawer or on a nightstand. It’s compact, easy to use, and keeps the handgun accessible to someone who knows the combination while helping prevent casual or unauthorized access. I wouldn’t consider it a replacement for a heavy-duty safe for theft protection, but for quick-access security, I think it does a very good job. Overall, it gives me a great balance of security, simplicity, and fast access.

Pretty good but not perfect
Quality is there and not counting on batteries or fumbling with keys is great. Now what I think needs improvement- biggest issue and that’s why I deducted a star is the lack of a security cable. They should at least include one. What’s a gun box if it can be taken. Stopbox sells them separately but for $28. The second thing I would like to see is that the lid pops up instead of you needing to open with your hands while holding down your combination code. Last thing has nothing to do with the product, but I feel I need to mention. If you have arthritic hands it’s a little tough to open - just saying.

Good Quality and Useful Retention Box
Excellent retention box for traveling and other uses. It is TSA approved for travel and I have checked firearms while flying using this (there’s one hole for a padlock in the lid release button—and that’s enough for TSA). I carry one in my bag and keep one by my bedside. Have been using it for some months now and happy with it overall. Durable, does the job, reasonable enough price.

Great Product to keep your firearm away from kids or guests
Easy to use gun box. This is not a safe but it will keep young hands away from your firearm. Many different combinations choices. Needs weight inside the box to make it easier to open

Nice travel lock box
Upon further review, still 5 stars. Other wants: ability to mount to something, and/or attach a tie-down cable for lockbox in a car. Original review: Love the size and how the foam keeps whatever you put inside in place. Combination change is not too complicated but keeps it secure. Only wish is that it had more metal to keep it secure, hinges stronger, and harder to break or break into. Update: Still great. Did see that it does have the capability to use a security cable to secure it to something and keep it from b3ing run off with as easily. I did read through a bunch of other reviews and here are some observations: - not cheap plastic; definitely reinforced with something that adds to the weight. - the small gap when closed would not be easily messed with and pryed open. - do agree that I wish that the combination did not stay depressed when opened, but after you grab your gun, shut it. - after I saw a comment that you could figure out the combination by how they move when someone depresses the thumb button, I checked and no tell-tell signs, no wiggle, ... nothing. Plus a couple of my kids tried to get I to it and none [my youngest is 11 and oldest is 30] got into it. Seems more likely you showed them how to operate it and they guessed you code from something that you like to use.
