Q: Is it wise to get the GIANT side for a medium / large dog for the purpose of deshedding faster since the blade cover more area?

Not necessarily. The edge of the comb is straight and in most places your dog is curved. Unless the dog is the size of a small horse the regular size is likely going to work as well and as quickly as the giant.

Q: Are these now "real" Furminators or are they still fakes?

They are definitely real ferminators and do a wonderful job of de-fuzzing your dog. The dogs love it.

Q: Can you use this on a wooly Alaskan malamute ?
