This is a pretty nice grill for the money. The mesh is tight enough to protect the speaker well. The 4 clips that hold the grill in aren't the prettiest things ever, but they do make this a universal fit for any 12" speaker.

The item was delivered well packaged but it was bent and mangled. Still useable. Unfortunately (probably my fault for not looking closer) the screen does not fit my 12" speaker and cab. I expected the mounting to line up with the existing holes used to mount the speaker. The item itself seems flimsy and easily bent out of shape. You get what you pay for.

The Grill cover itself is just fine. Sturdy and well made providing burly protection for your driver.The issue is that I ordered this item twice, and both times it arrived without the mounting brackets. The first order arrived in a shipping mauled box, and I figured the hardware had just fallen out. So I returned it for a replacement which arrived in an intact box with, you guessed it, NO hardware. So since I DO like the Grill, and rather than waste a bunch of time returning a low dollar item AGAIN, I just bought a set of mounting clips separately.You have been advised...Update: After accidently damaging the second one, I reordered a Third one, and Whaddya know? It Actually came with the mounting brackets and Screws!Batting .300 May be good in Good in Major League Baseball, however, in the order fulfillment game, Not so much...

From the description, I had thought the grille would be large enough to fit over the edge of my sub (Rockford Fosgate R1S412) so the perimeter edge of the grill would lay flat on the box with the brackets mounted to the box to hold it in place. WRONG. The outside circumference of the grill s the same as the outside circumference of the sub mounting ring. Also, I was not able to get more than two of the grill holes on the edge to line-up with any of the eight screws in the sub mounting ring, so I couldn't use them to mount the grill either. After considering sending it back, I decided to use a few dabs of black silicone to mount the grill directly onto the mounting ring of the sub. This works well, as the grill does not contact the speaker itself; just the mounting ring. Also, it can be removed quickly, as the silicone can be pulled up without much effort. As an afterthought, I could have used a few small pieces of Velcro as an alternative to the silicone.

Universal mount not versatile. The grill doesn't fully cover the speaker and hooks don't help.

One of the two subwoofer grills arrived without the expected 4 supporting brackets an screws. I eventually returned the incomplete set.

I didn't listen to the other reviews and ordered two of these covers. To put it simple, the lip of the cover sits perfectly on the rubber mounting ring of my alpine type E subs. The grill measures 12.25" and the rubber is 12.25" OD. The mounting brackets would fit perfectly along outside edge to hold the grille in place.That is, if the grilles showed up with their mounting hardware. According to other reviews, this is a common issue. I could Jerry Rig them to fit without them but would much rather a clean looking install. Only reason they didn't get a better rating.Awaiting replacement parts. Upon receiving them (or lack of receiving), I will change review accordingly. It is good quality for the price, just inconsistent packaging standard.

It does its job

The product itself seems decent. However.... if they advertize mounting hardware included..... and they DO say the hardware is included, it would be nice if they actually included/sent the mounting hardware. Not impressed!
