DNA Q and A: Real Questions from Real People about Genetic Genealogy

The book is easy to read, straight forward and well laid out. I read it in one evening. For me, DNA is a complex topic requiring much reading and research. Every time I read about it I gather tidbits to add to my stored knowledge (which is just a few tidbits to date). I hope to live long enough to at least double my knowledge. I didn’t give the book five stars because, through no fault of the authors, I didn’t understand most of it! Keep reading Granny.

If you have an interest in DNA testing, you'll love this book . . . even if you've been working DNA result for some time now. Andy and Devon cover every possible questions from the basics including DNA test accuracy, to the scientific covering SNPs, centiMorgans and segments. And there is also the occasional "bizarre" question such as whether 23andMe is owned by Google and more.This is a great read with up-to-date information on what's going on in the DNA and genetic genealogy industry right now but also with a look to the future.

Many of the questions were a bit repetitive but you can’t blame that on the authors! I love everything from the Family History Fanatics you tube channel.

Excellent book providing direct assessment of the different labs and the virtues of their service. This book better prepares those who are considering their test purchase and those who tested several years ago. Worthy purchase.

Very informative & easy to learn.

Just what it says on the tin. Clear answers to common questions. May need updated as things seem to change quickly with DNA testing, but basic information is good.
