Best contact frame at really low cost
This is a really good contact frame for LGA1700 CPUs. After installing it, I noticed an improvement of about 2 to 5°C in CPU temperatures, depending on the workload. It also helps prevent the CPU from bending due to the stock ILM pressure, which is a nice bonus for long-term use. The build quality is excellent, installation was straightforward, and it gives extra peace of mind knowing the CPU has more even mounting pressure. Overall, it's a simple upgrade that can improve cooling performance and help protect your CPU and motherboard over time. Highly recommended.

Easy socket upgrade that reduces LGA 1700 frame induced board deflection and improves cooling
I've been in Hi-tech mechanical & thermal design for decades with many a new CPU board in my design experiences. I've disliked the load the LGA socket frame design would put on a PCB since day 1 of that socket's intro and would try and augment our rather dense LGA based board designs around the CPU when I could. This inexpensive gem is an eye opener and I purchased one as soon as I saw it for a new build with a new MB with a new CPU after my venerable 5th Gen MB recently gave up it's ghost. It takes maybe 5-7 minutes to remove the LGA frame and install this along with your CPU. The bow in the PCB across the processor is nearly non-existent. I've also never seen a CPU run this cool using a forced air heat sink let alone this newer one at essentially double the TDP of its predecessor. Too many things changed on this new build to accurately determine what the full temperature drop contribution was. This new board included the use of a 6x6mm heat piped, single fin-stack heat sink and 15W/m-K thermal paste. My Core temp at idle is running a couple of degrees C above ambient and my local PCB temp is about 6C over that indicating a better transfer off the bottom of the chip & socket into the PCB. My guess is that when installed right with a really thin layer of a good thermal paste and clean/dry surfaces, its good for double digit improvement as others reviews have stated. My immediate reactions with this at first power up was literally, this temperature can't be right, but apparently it is. On an older 12th-13th-14th gen board with the bow at the CPU already "baked" in, your results probably won't be as good. Likewise, if you don't get rid of the little thread particles the typical cleaning pads leave behind prior to thermal paste application, you also won't see as much improvement as you could. For as little as this costs and for what it does, I highly recommend this as a standard feature for any build where Thermalright has a size match for your socket; currently AM4 & AM5, LGA 1700 and probably the 15th Gen 1851 socket (if not now, soon). 5 stars only because that's as high as you're allowed to go.

Simple product with good thermal results.
This is a simple product that has the potential to drop your socket LGA 1700 CPU's temperature down by 5-10C pending if you have a motherboard with a significant bend on your Intel processor. In general, when paired with a high quality thermal grease, this can have a big effect on temps. Due to its very low cost and how easy it is to install, it makes no sense not to use this.

Awesome Support Bracket
If you are looking for a little extra support for your M/B CPU socket, this is allot more support. The Thermalright LGA1700-BCF Black V2 CPU Anti-Bend Fixer Bracket fits perfectly and looks great. For $7 plus tax with Prime, you won't be disappointed. Also, won't get in the way of your CPU cooler and any type of cooler will fit without problems.

Just as good as Thermal Grizzly.
Watch the Gamers Nexus review. Buy German (Thermal Grizzly) if you want to support the OG who pioneered this amazing product. Anyone with issues such as bsod, ram instability, boot failure, etc. has simply installed it too tightly. Some people with no performance increase or radical decrease in temps probably did a better or worse job applying thermal paste. You'll most likely get a few degrees improvement on i5, a bit more on i7, and a bit more on i9. I am installing on an i3 14100 for fun + the stock ILM is trash. Installing on an i5 14600k that runs way too hot next. Might actually do before and after temps and update review.

Solid chunk of material! Strong
Fingers crossed I will never have to worry about my motherboard bending with this plate, fit snugly and was really easy to install, the quality it nice, feels pretty heavy duty and fit my cpu like a glove, glad it sad slightly lower than the top of the cpu so when I messed up the thermal paste install the first time I didnt have to worry about it getting down the side of the cpu or in the pins

Do not over tighten!
For the price of a big cup of coffee, this little device brought peak CPU temps down 5-7 degrees C on average. Watch the good YouTube videos on installation. This thing does NOT have to be torqued down. It just has to be secured as evenly as possible. When you take off the ILM, you'll notice the screws come out rather easily. Remember how much effort it took to unscrew those, because that about as tight as they have to be when you install the contact bracket (which isn't very tight).

Funcional
