I think these leggings run on the smaller side. I followed the size chart, but wish I had sized up. I’m a 30-31 inch waist, so I picked size small.When I first saw the leggings, I thought they were youth sized because they looked so small! They do stretch, but the size small is very snug in the legs. I’m not very muscular, but I had to wriggle into the legs.The fly is functional but has no closure, and it gapes open. If the leggings are at all tight on you, the fly will pull and it does not look good.The material is not as soft as I would expect for such a high silk content. The leggings are made from 60% wool, 25% silk, and 15% nylon. To me, they feel like pure merino wool leggings. They aren’t scratchy, but they don’t feel silky soft. I washed the leggings on gentle cycle in cold water and line dried, they held up just fine.

I've been wearing this while doing light work outdoors. I got the XL size, which fits a little snugly compared with other XL leggings I own, but I prefer this for base layers. If your legs are exceptionally muscular or if you prefer a looser fit, you may wish to size up. The level of warmth is typical for mid-weight wool, and the comfort is a better overall, which I attribute to the fabric blend. I suppose I expected the significant silk content to produce a smoother feel, but it's certainly better than straight wool and I'm happy with the result. Also, there's no sign of the fabric stretching out so far, so the 15% spandex fiber is doing its job.
