2nd Ninja Coffee Machine and it just gets better!
Imagine spending $400 on a drip coffee maker and throwing it out in less than a year. Yeap, replaced a Moccamaster with a Ninja Specialty and I could not be happier. Love coffee, mostly drink 4-6 cups of freshly ground coffee a day. I had an older basic Ninja for several years before giving it to my son and wife, thinking it was a win win, so that when I visited I could enjoy a great cup of coffee, while at home I thought I would upgrade to a superior coffee machine (Moccamaster recommended by Wirecutter). The Moccamaster was a rip off. Could not fathom spending that kind of money, just to throw it away. Right? Tolerated it for less than a year then couldn't stand it anymore. In the garbage it went. Lesson learned. Ninja Specialty surpasses my expectation. First it makes excellent coffee. Can choose classic or bold, cup, mug, half or full pot, and the machine adjusts accordingly. The ease of use now is great, don't have to pull the machine out from under the cabinet anymore since the filter holder pulls out the front area. The water reservoir can also be removed from the side and be filled or washed. Has its own scoop that shows how much coffee is recommended depending on the brew cycle. Have not tried the frother yet. Another improvement is that if you want to grab a cup before the brew finishes you just move a lever to the left, which pauses the brew, this is important because all the machines I ever had, when you pull the carafe out, some coffee drops still drip on the hot plate which fizzles and stains the base. What a great great well thought out and tested machine. Highly recommend! Ninja appears to build products that are built around what their customers want while others appear to build products based on profitability and greed, using their brand well initially as a trap then turning their goods into garbage and charging excessively for inferior products. Again, lesson learned.

Flawless; more convenient than k-cups
Been using this daily for about a year now. Perfect coffee maker. It’s essentially an automatic pour over (with multiple water streams instead of just one), and it’s extremely easy to use and clean. Cleaning just requires lifting and dumping the bag of grounds in the trash; the grounds holder is extremely easy to remove from the machine. Water tank holds plenty of water and is easy to fill. I did an absurd amount of research into an automatic pour over (to replace k-cup dependency) and this product checks all the boxes. I was willing to drop $$$ for the super expensive ones, but none of them match the level of quality / convenience. Flawless. Pair with a grinder and it becomes quicker and easier than a k-cup machine. And the quality is as close as you’ll get to a hand-made pourover.

Outstanding, well-designed 'NinJoe'
I was impressed with the well-thought out design, quality, looks and ease of use. If you take the time to read the instructions ( which are thorough and clear) and experiment with the four types of coffee settings and 8 different sizes offered, you'll be rewarded with wonderful coffee every time. Sounds complicated but after you use it a couple times , it's a snap. There's even a coffee scoop attached to the side of the unit with two different size scoops (with instructions) so you don't have to go hunting for one. You can have one cup or a whole pot just as easily. It's not a K-Cup design but it's surprisingly fast and it makes superior coffee for much less money per cup. The large detachable reservoir is easily refilled and clear so that you can see the amount of water that's left. The hot plate temperature and timer can be adjusted so as not to overheat your carafe of coffee. There are even two types of iced coffee and it produces strong coffee specifically made so that the ice does not dilute it. It comes with a nice plastic mesh reusable coffee filter or you can use your own paper filters. The basket even swings out for ease of access with a switch that stops all coffee from leaking out when you are tossing the filter or taking some coffee from the carafe. I use three different kinds of coffee in my basket to hone my brew depending on how I'm feeling. What could be better and no K-Cup stress? I'll tell you, my wife loves it too!

🔄Updated Review — Now 8 Months of Daily Use (see full update below)
🔄 Updated Review — Now 8 Months of Daily Use (see full update below) ⭐️Original Review: My husband and I are huge coffee lovers and have tried many types of brewers over the years. This Ninja was purchased in early August, and I intentionally waited until October to write my initial review so I could give a thorough, real-use perspective. I can say with 100% confidence — this is the best coffee maker I’ve ever owned. We are already a Ninja-product family, so I was excited to add this to our kitchen — but this machine completely exceeded expectations. I originally thought I was a simple “coffee + creamer” person, but this opened up a whole new world of drinks I didn’t even realize I’d enjoy. My husband loves experimenting with flavors, foam, and different styles, and he is thrilled with how much versatility this one machine offers. This coffee maker is used at least 4–5 times every single day (no judgment 😅), and every time we use it, we’re able to make something different — hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, cappuccinos, and more. ☕ What You Get: Coffee maker unit Smart scoop (labeled per serving size) Frother wand attachment Tempered glass carafe with smart funnel Permanent filter + filter basket Flip-top water reservoir De-clogger tool Instruction manual Usage & Features: Cup Size Options: Cup XL Cup Travel Tumbler Multi-Serve Tumbler Half Carafe Full Carafe You can switch between sizes easily with a simple knob turn. Drip Stop Feature: Acts like a quick pause, allowing you to pour a cup mid-brew without making a mess — super useful when brewing larger amounts. Even when making a small cup, it still tastes like a full, properly brewed pot — not watered down like some machines. It takes a few minutes to fully extract flavor, which makes a noticeable difference. ☕ Brew Styles: Classic Rich Over Ice For iced coffee, I fill a cup with ice, add fresh coffee grounds to the filter, and brew using the “Over Ice” setting — it comes out perfectly balanced and not diluted. Frother Wand: One of my favorite features. Add milk or creamer to a cup, place it under the wand, and run it for about 30 seconds — it creates a smooth foam that takes drinks to another level. Cleaning & Storage: Cleaning is simple and low maintenance: Filters remove easily for rinsing All removable parts are dishwasher safe Grounds are easy to discard and clean out When the descale light comes on, running a vinegar + water cycle through the reservoir gets everything back to normal quickly. The adjustable platform is also great — it flips up to fit larger tumblers or the full carafe. ⚠️ Things to Know: This machine does not use pods or K-cups It is designed for ground coffee only Personally, I actually prefer this — it’s much easier to clean a filter than deal with small reusable pods. ⭐️ Original Conclusion: This quickly became my favorite appliance in the house, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, versatile coffee maker. 🔄 8-MONTH UPDATE (HEAVY DAILY USE — 4–5x A DAY) I originally reviewed this after about 2 months of use. I’ve now been using it for closer to 8 months, and it’s still used heavily every single day — plus regular large iced coffee batches. I wanted to come back and share a true long-term update for anyone wondering if it holds up. ☕ Real-Life Performance After 8 Months: •No wear or damage •No cracks or weak points •No rust anywhere •No slowing down or performance issues •Still brews consistently hot coffee every time •It honestly performs the same as it did when it was brand new. Cleaning & Maintenance (Still Easy): Regular hand washing Occasional dishwasher use No buildup or residue issues Maintenance has stayed simple and low effort. Frother Wand (Still Excellent): Still one of my favorite parts of the machine. Works just as well as day one and creates smooth foam quickly. 🔥 What’s Changed Since My Original Review? Honestly — not much. And that’s exactly what you want. The biggest difference now is confidence. After months of heavy use, I can confidently say this machine is built to last. ⭐️ Media Update: I’ve added a new how-to video showing: -Full pot brewing -Iced coffee setup -Reservoir refilling -Removable parts -Control panel and settings ⭐️ Final Verdict: This is still my most used and most loved appliance in my home. If anything, I like it even more now — because I know it holds up under real, heavy daily use. I would absolutely buy this again.

Early days, happy so far
I bought this coffee maker as a replacement for my Cuisinart PurePrecision after our second glass carafe broke and we are still waiting for the replacement we ordered 3 months ago. :-( My priority was a great cup of coffee and I used the SCA Certification as a way to quickly narrow down options. I then looked at countless reviews, videos, etc. I was on the fence about getting a coffee maker from Ninja -- if it had too much going on to do any one thing particularly well. However, for the comparatively low price compared to other options I looked at -- and the fact that we are pretty happy with other Ninja appliances -- I decided to give it a try. We've been using for only one week, but here's initial impressions: Pros: 1. Makes very good coffee. I made it on the settings that were used for its "gold cup" certification, and also on the "rich" mode. I've also made a single cup. I haven't tried over ice or specialty yet. I have a nespresso and I think that's just going to be easier if I want "specialty". Also -- for people who like their coffee hot, this is your machine! I actually let the coffee cool a bit in the cup to release the flavors before I drink mine. 2. Removable water tank -- I hate when grounds get into an integrated tank and there's really no easy way to keep it clean. 3. Glass carafe seems like it will be durable (see Cuisinart issue above) 4. Can customize brew strength and change the warming plate settings (time, and low/high) 5. Versatility to make single cup of various sizes, half or full carafe Con's: 1. We made our first full carafe and the grounds hit the top of the coffee maker and made a mess. (not sure if our grounds were too fine or what - but we used the amount used in the SCA certification) 2. No easy way to make between a half and full carafe (there's not the standard 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 cup markers). Although, I assume that's something I can play with and figure out. But half carafe is usually enough for two of us. 3. When you make a full carafe, the water fill line in the tank is very close to the top -- so you really can't fill the tank directly (like from our refrigerator water dispenser) because it spills when you walk. You really need to use a separate vessel to fill the tank. 4. The stop-drip doesn't always work right away, so there can be a couple of drips -- but the nice thing is that the warming plate must have a coating that prevents the drip from burning the plate 5. Size -- this is not a small machine so make sure you have room I've come to accept that all coffee makers have some issues. I think these are manageable on this one and since I didn't shell out $300+ I am OK living with them.

Does NOT disappoint!
Easy set up, easy instruction and a good looking coffee maker that makes great coffee! We have varying coffee preferences in our home, and this offers the options of single cup, travel mug size up to a pot of coffee, as well as the brew strength options! It fits beautifully under the cabinet on our kitchen counter, and takes up less space than our previous coffee-maker. I was specifically researching for a healthier coffee maker, but at a reasonable price and this meets most of my key point with BPA-free plastics.

Excellent all in one coffee maker
This does it all- Cold, hot, cup or a pot! I love that I don’t have to use paper filters and it is easy to clean. Hot coffee is quick, cold brew takes a little longer- but still not too long.

Awesome machine
The design stood out, so I decided to give it a try when the ol' Hamilton Beach packed it in. After almost a year of use, I'm quite satisfied with it. The brew options are great; love being able to do a cup or two. Adjusting the duration and temp of the heating pad it nice; too many of those things burn way too hot. Its quiet and fast; with a polite little beep to tell me that its coffee time!

This is it! It's finally here!
This is the coffee machine I've been waiting for! Not yet around in Canada, but ships from the USA via Amazon Canada. I don't need a coffee machine that makes tea, I don't need a spinning whirly gig on the side to froth milk... I need a 'Coffee Machine!' And this is it! Boy does it keep coffee hot and that's on the low 'keep warm' setting which doesn't tarnish the flavor. And what about that flavor, it's amazing whether just brewing a single mug or brewing a complete giraffe (it has a long neck) the flavor is consistent. Love, love, love the cold brew feature. How have I lived without this? Previously I'd brew a pot of coffee and put it in the fridge to cool down, but this baby brews straight over ice, again by the mug, if that's all you need. Again, awesome full flavor without being bitter. It sits under the counter too and because of the horizontal action of the brew basket, you don't have to move the machine everytime you want to brew a coffee. The included measuring spoon attached to the side and 'drip stop' feature make this machine standout from the crowd for sure. I'm English, we don't make cups of tea in a coffee machine and I believe you would be deported from the UK for doing so. So if it's real coffee you're into and not all that ridiculous frothing nonsense, this is the machine for you!

Solid
Just a good, reliable, well built coffee machine. Nothing overly fancy, it makes good coffee and looks good on my kitchen counter. Purchased in July 2024, haven’t had a single issue as of Feb 25/25.
