TRA8035R Traxxas Pro Scale LED Light Set TRX-4 Bronco ('79) or Ford F-150

I installed this 8035R light kit into my Traxxas F150 high trail truck. It includes the tiny LEDs for the front and rear running lights which pop on the existing holes within your trucks body. Same with the rear lights, larger but just pop in. The headlights are on circuit boards. I used the discrete wire harness (receiver communication cable), not the Bluetooth harness (maxx link cable), which means you use the 2 buttons on the included power module (that you fasten to the chassis) to change the various different headlight modes. Else, using the wireless module (you must purchase this and have a compatible transmitter) in your transmitter with that included wiring harness from this kit allows you to change settings via some app with your cellphone or touchpad. Don't panic if headlights don't work: I found that when I first applied power, only the tail lights and reverse lights worked. That's because it was in daylight mode. Pressing the mode button on the Power Module, now the headlights work. Press again, now high beams. Press again, daylight mode (headlights off). For the blinkers to work, you press the Signal button twice (it's also on the Power Module). You'd see the running lights flash indicating you're in bliker mode. Turn the wheel left, you see the left bliker. Go forward, they turn off (but only if steering trim is centered). It's easy to set the mode using the buttons on the Power Module. Really no need for extra $$ spent. There was a Green label wiring harness left over, not used. It's supposed to be used for high low beams using a switch. Honestly, that switch is not needed, can easily use Mode Button on the Power Module. The kit comes with small tywraps, seemingly enough but you may want to have a few more if you opt to tie the rear light harnesses together as I did. I'm not in any competitions so I really don't care if I use pink,green,blowing chunks colored tywraps. Some installation tips: I ran my wires in-between the chassis roll bars and the body and didn't use any of the included stick back tywrap mounts. Receiver Communication Cable routing: I found it way easier to work backwards from the receiver to the power module. When connecting the Receiver Communication Cable to the receiver on the truck. Squeeze the one single connector under the receiver wire tray rather than the two longer connectors like the traxxas directions state. Then route it past the transmission, Careful to not have that wire harness getting smashed by the battery tray, and then connect it to the power module. Then you can more easily connect that cable to the receiver (which is 2 connectors). It's way easier that way, avoiding trying to stuff the 2 longer connectors under that receiver wire tray. Headlight Circuit Board : The left driver side headlight circuit board from this light kit has many wires fastened to it. When replacing the black backside onto it after you install this new headlight, the lower right end will smash the wires of the new headlight. You can see it's not flush like the right passenger side. I simply cut a small portion of the plastic away of the black plastic backplate, avoiding the wire smash. I used a small side cutter (dykes) I got from harbor freight. The power connectors (seems hokey, cheap): You may want to get some heat shrink to first place over your power wires before connecting the voltage sense wires. When connecting the kits power sense wires, you now have a very tiny bit of exposed wires if not using heat shrink, due to only being able to fit the existing wires together, cannot re use the existing clear insulation. Traxxas should have a better solution than what's offered. I didn't do the heat shrink "fix" due to not wanting to separate the fittings, since the thin voltage sense wires get smashed when connecting.. It's an expensive kit but very cool. All functioning as described. If you're not on a tight budget, get this.

The price my crawler was missing. The 79' Bronco comes to life with this light kit. It's all plug and play as well. Fits just right in all sockets, even comes with small zip ties to clean it up. Couldn't be happier with it, it's a must upgrade

Install is little bit of a pain, but now awful. it does exactly what it says it does, I was little rough on it when installing and was worried I had damaged it. But all is good and working, worth the money to just go with traxxas. It will work with aftermarket escs and receiver. I got the hobby wing fusion, and still have brake lights, reverse lights, and all other functions using the max link cable that comes with it.

I had a hard time swallowing the price, but realized quickly why it’s so much. So well thought out, so many more features than aftermarket light kits. The directions were good, but seemed outdated. I had to watch a YouTube video to get past a few parts that stumped me. Took about an hour to install. Overall super impressed and glad I got them.

Easy installation

Sehr gut gelungenes Set , einfach nur Top . Aber leider finde ich die Beschreibung ( Grundsätzlich gut ) etwas Lückenhaft . Mir Persönlich fehlt die Information zu den NICHT Belegten Steckpätzen , dort schweigt man sich aus . Was nicht dabei ist, wird auch nicht beschrieben . Zum Beispiel E Grün und K & M Grau , N Gelb , kann ich dort zusäzlichen Scheinwerfer oder eine Lightbar anbauen . Hm ka. Durch zufall habe ich auch herraubekommen das es sogar für das Modell verschiedene Sensoren gibt. Es Gibt auch etwas für`s Händy über eine App , habe ich auch Nachbestellt , steht auf der letzten seite der Beschreibung. Das kommt wohl in den Sender. Wenn Ich so etwas Verkaufen würde , dann würde ich doch meine zusätzlichen Produkte Werben wollen und nicht versecken . Gundsätzlich ein sehr gelungenes Produkt . PS. : Habe bei Traxxas die Beschreibung gefunden wo doch alle Plätze beschrieben sind . Produkt Nummer \ Part 6591 , nun wisst ihr was da noch dran geht ohne etwas zu beschädigen .
