Perfect for swollen, diabetic feet or patients with fluid overload!
Ok, VERY rare that I am wowed enough to write a review, but these shoes are AWESOME! I had to buy some on the fly for a relative in physical rehab to wear while learning to walk again. She is a full-blown diabetic, with CHF so her feet stay fairly swollen. I ordered multiple pairs of shoes for her to try on. Some were cute and functional, but it was difficult to get her swollen feet into the shoe. This would be a huge problem for her when she starts trying to put her own shoes on again because it is difficult enough to reach her feet. And if the feet are hurting or sensitive from CHF or whatever, that will cause a lot of pain and possibly a wound. This shoe is so easy to get on because it opens up almost completely! Check the seller pics. And they're easy for her to refasten herself. Finally, she loves the way they look which makes her happy. The grip on the bottom is fantastic, there is a nice amount of cushion inside, and they came with additional inserts. If you're on the fence about purchasing these, I highly recommend them if the wearer has swollen feet, and a difficult time putting on sneakers. I am not sure about how long the shoe will stay comfy, as we just got them but they fit great, just as I'd hoped. We ordered an 8.5 which is her normal U.S. size, and the extra wide to allow for increased swelling. She will not be walking a ton in them, just around the house and short distances. Overall, I am SUPER happy with this purchase!

nice adjustable width shoe
Bought these to wear once weight bearing after bunion surgery till I can wear a regular shoe with no pain. They have been a lifesaver and feel and look more normal to go places and not have to wear a medical boxy shoe. Adjustable and very comfortable!

Good fit, nice comfort, nurse approved
I needed a shoe for my elderly mother to wear that was acceptable to her PT nurses for use during therapy.Being an 89 yr old diabetic - her edema in both feet and legs prevents most shoes to fit at all.At home - we initially found her to be ok wearing open backed slippers - with velcro closures over the top to suffice - but for the nusing ctr therapy, (even using her walker) a safer more solid shoe with a closed heel was required. This pair of “Secret Slippers” not only fit, but the shoe is very comfortable for her, as well as nice looking with a quality look & feel. The pair also included multiple extra sole inserts to try, but the ones that were installed already are fine so far.I recommend these shoes without any doubts whatsoever. We bought the multi-texture blue color and we are ALL pleased - even the PT nurses!

Perfect for post toe surgery!
6 weeks after foot surgery of straightening my big toe and bunion removal with 3 new screws in my foot, I was ready to get out of the surgical shoe and into something more comfortable. Put these on and felt such relief while walking. Perfect for swollen foot needing wide width. Feels much better stepping into this shoe as I wasn’t even going to try and jam my foot into a regular shoe. Great arch support and insoles not to soft not too hard, just right! I’m a 7.5 and ordered size 8 wide, perfect fit!

Finally a shoe you can wear immediately after foot surgery!
I recently had surgery to repair a bunion surgery that was mangled from a car accident. My prior bunion surgery had me in an air cast for several months because of the swelling in my foot. These shoes accommodate a sore, swollen foot by completely opening on both sides so you do not have to shove your sore foot into the shoe. This shoe has been a game changer in my recovery!

Ok product.
Good shoes but too small from the bottom. Need to be wider and the Velcro strap is too long.

Extra wide width not wide enough
I am still shopping for a sneaker/shoe for my mom who has been struggling with edema this year. These shoes I thought looked promising for all the characteristics the seller presents...extra wide width, adjustable velcro enclosure, added sole inserts with different thicknesses, and the indication that these are true to size. My mom is really an 8 1/2, but with regular sneakers she is a 9 because the footwear industry at some point over the last 20 years has put out products that are little narrower and shorter. Well I ordered true to size but my mom's toes ended up touching the front of the shoe with the 8 1/2. I noticed in the seller's video that the model did not have swollen feet while demonstrating putting on the shoes. It always seems to be like that, so it is harder to tell if the shoes really do what the sellers claim they do, which is accommodate swollen feet. While my mom could get her bigger swollen foot in the shoe, unfortunately touching toes to the front, the velcro barely wrapped over her foot. So no, even if I order size 9 for my mom to fit her toes in better, the adjustable velcro top even with the thinnest inserts in the sole will not wrap comfortably or securely enough over the top of her foot. If you have quite a bit of puffiness on the top of your foot, these shoes will probably not fit good. These may be more suitable for those with moderate swelling.
