The SV225 Mini is my favorite mount from this series. It is noticeably more compact and yet just as easy to use.

After having upgraded my eyepieces for my Celestron Inspire 80AZ, I needed greater stability for my telescope. I bought the SV225 along with the tripod (SV225T) and the riser (SV225H). All products are very well made and are of high quality. The riser is necessary as the tripod has limited extension. I had to mount to the SV225 on the left-hand side due to the fixed dovetail on the Celestron and target finder location. This meant the dovetail locking screws were positioned on the bottom and the focus in a vertical plane, both of which still work well. The "stars" of the show are the fine controls for Alt-Azimuth movement which work brilliantly. For reconfiguration, some of the screws were a bit "factory-tight" and it would be nice if the panhandle was offset at an angle. Overall, very pleased with these quality products and stability is much improved.
