I started using these director's claps quite a while ago and even if I do not film Hollywood productions, it is a useful tool once you deal with many clips and takes.This director's clap makes a good quality impression, the clap is solid and makes a nice loud clap-sound.White pens and cleaning tools are included in the package and therefore it is ready to be used right out of the box. With the hex wrench the clap movement can be set looser or tighter.The white color of the pens can be erased easily.The little opening in the front side of the clap for storing the pen is actually a nice feature since we all know how often we are looking for the pen.Tip: erase the pen every time after finishing up a scene or take -- if forgotten for months it could become sometimes very tough to erase it -- that is valid for all acrylic material and is not specific to this director's clap.I am happy with this product -- good price-value relationship.

This looks great in person. Comes with an Allen key to adjust clapper tension on slate Wish there was a clip to keep the Allen key with the slate just like there is a slot for the marker. Same thing for the eraser. I’ll add Velcro to the back of the clapper part of the slate and the eraser and keep them together that way. Same for Allen key. Overall I like this slate.

This is a pretty cool prop - the only issue I have had with it, is that the writing does not seem to wipe off very well. This is with using the included erasable markers. I ended up using an alcohol wipe, but the writing still faintly remains visible

This is a great clapper for film productions that may not have a big budget, and even works great as an on-camera prop. The markers work great and haven't faded at all over the course of a rigorous couple weeks of shooting. Love it!

I'm gonna be honest...I got this to sit on a shelf. I'm a big television and film buff, have always dreamt of making movies, and just wanted this sitting on my shelf as decor. It's perfect, and totally affordable. Mine will probably never once get used...but I'll love it anyways. Very happy.

Got this as a prop for videos, and I'm pleased with it. Had a similar one, but it had a bunch of colors on it and didn't have the classic look that this one has. Seems good enough for professional use, and I think the price is right for what you get.

The media could not be loaded.  Nice clapThe board makes a nice clap as you snap it closed. It has a magnet to keep the clapper secure. It comes with two pens for writing and an eraser. I had a little difficulty erasing when I first tried it, but I think that was just because the ink hadn't fully dried.
