The GATCH fruit fly trap looks a lot better hanging in my kitchen than fly strips did. It started attracting flies as soon as it was installed. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have a scent.It must be handled carefully.Read the instructions before use and do not grab the fly trap by its sides, like I did, as the adhesive is very strong. I was able to get it off my hands with jojoba oil.I had some more bad luck when I pulled the top too hard and the hook came off. I used gardening wire to make a new hook, insert it in the top of the trap, and hang it from a thumb tack on the ceiling.I tried making fly traps for a while with vinegar and a little detergent in water, but they never worked. The GATCH Fly trap is preferable and gets results.

The fly trap worked perfectly well and I was able to catch all the flies inside the room. I have used other products before but nothing has worked as good as this brand. I am very glad that I gave it a try with this particular type because it was really efficient and it worked instantly. Thank you.

I was surprised how well this works, especially for the price ! I I don’t know if they were fruit flies or drains flies , but I had a ton by my kitchen sink . After a few days , I noticed less and less . After 5 days I haven’t had any flies swarming in my kitchen . Definitely recommend!

I've tried a few of these in my back yard because I have fruit trees and they have worked better than all other options that I've tried. They are larger and have more surface area to catch more flies as opposed to other options. Will buy again!

These are about the diameter of a toilet paper tube and about twice as long. There's a cup on either end. You're supposed to fill the bottom cup with syrup or honey ( or something else that you know will attract the kind of bug you're targeting). It has no scent of its own. The tube is extremely sticky and therefore holds any bug securely that happens to touch it. There's a hanger on one end, but it's an open hook made out of a very thin plastic at the end of a skinny thread of plastic, kinda shaped like a question mark. I could wish for the hook to be slightly wider in diameter so that it can fit on more things, wrap around further or even clip on in some way because if you're not super careful the flimsy plastic hook bends or slides off whatever it's on and can end up getting the tube stuck to any surface it lands on. But these do work. I have a problem with gnats because I used a potting soil that apparently had a lot of gnat eggs in it (not very happy about that), and this seemed to be the most economical solution so thought I'd try it first. I'm happy so far. Got a lot of gnats overnight. Hope it'll get the rest in the next few days.
