Spannender Kriminalroman von Vielschreiber Patterson. Titelheld ist ein erfolgreicher Anwalt, der selbst unter Mordverdacht gerät und sich mit einer Familie der lokalen Mafia auseinandersetzen muss. Gut geschrieben, mit überraschenden Wendungen - auch wenn man manchmal das Gefühl hat, dass die erste Hälfte des Buches und das furiose Finale nur lose zusammenhängen und ebenso gut in zwei getrennten Büchern hätten entwickelt werden können.

This is not a deep or convoluted story, it’s a page turner with a few twists and turns, exactly what I wanted flying to Portugal and to have with me by the pool. Paterson excels at painting people pictures!
