I give this 5 stars because I like the interactive linking of the digital book. It made it feel like a game, but we didn't have the paper book. The questions are really not necessarily interesting for kids. The first question in the book is about a British holiday, which wouldn't be that interesting for anyone outside the country (we are U.S.). Fun questions include things like why a balloon sticks to the wall, but then we go a few more and get to questions about Jewish holidays, which again are culturally specific (I'm sure it's great to learn about other cultures, but it's impossible to even guess at these).I would have put some of these harder questions further to the back to avoid kids getting discouraged by not knowing anything about the cultures being described.

Lots of fun and interesting facts for children and a cool presentation. I agree with some other reviewers that the book would be too advanced for a child of 8. I also didn't really care for a lot of the illustrations.

My granddaughter - just turning 10 - really enjoyed it. Considering she spends a lot of time on computers and watching TV in her leisure time - I thought that was a win. If you have a kid that likes to learn weird facts this is probably a good buy. Sure - they could look this up on-line - but then you don't have to worry about WHAT they will find!

Received book looks like it will be lots of fun for the grandson

Interactive book with questions, 4 choices, then the next page has a brief explanation of the question. If you are wrong, you are given another chance to get it right. I found it fun. I answered almost all the questions, but I got a few wrong so I learned new things. I also learned more about my correct answers, such as, the Eiffel Tower. Never knew that about it. You and your kids will enjoy this. I'd say 10 and up for this book.

I started reading and thought the facts are just that. It might interest younger readers.

My child is almost 8. This book has questions way too random and complicated for her liking. I also ran it by her 10 year old friend, who it was also way to tricky to understand. It was more relevant for an adult, imo. It was presented well, etc, but many questions/facts were way to advanced or understandable for a young child. It sais 'avoid overwhelming young children' in its description, but it did exactly that. We kinda gave up a little over half way through. There's a question about a Seinfield episode. How my child would know this, or even know who seinfeild is, is a bit random. Or the inkblot test. Or abibliophobia. Or the pohutukawa tree! Yh, its a decent book, but my child did not enjoy this, as the information is way too complicated for a child.

I asked my 13-year-old grandson to review this book for me. He thought it was great. We read it together and he literally couldn't put it down. It is easy to read, easy to follow and yet so engaging. Hats off to the author for complying such a wide variety of fun facts and presenting them in such an interesting manner. Neither myself or my grandson could put it down. Highly recommended for anyone who loves facts and loves to share them.
