unbelievable
Wow ! This was a crazy ( but True ) story . There are several chapters in the book that I really had to force myself to keep reading … mostly because I really wanted to know how this all ended . These chapters were TOO “ informational “ . Almost like reading a court report or a boring news reporters story “ back in the day “ .This happened in 1980 , the year my first son was born so it was easy for me to relate to that time era . I never heard about this to my knowledge and I lived in INDIANA ( which is where this takes place ) I am still appalled that she got away with murder ( spoiler alert ? ) not sure, since I recently discovered several movie were made about this also . Anyway , only 2 people know . One is already dead and since Candy is pretty old now, she shall stand before God soon I’m sure .

fascinating
Remember this case well. Great in site to all the characters in this tragedy. Author gives both sides to this story but still the only ones who really know what happened that Friday in that utility room are Betty and Candy. Leaves the reader to form their own conclusion.

good story
This was interesting an easy read. Everyone knows Hulu and HBO produced a movie about his murder. There were some editing errors in the kindle version.

Re-read Because of the two series
I read this book shortly after its release but revisited after the Hulu and HBO MAX series on the events. Having matured and educated myself since then, I found the second time to be far more effective in understanding the outcome. Some may call it "junk science" but it's really the science of how these two attorneys-- one, a personal injury lawyer, convinced 12 people to agree.

By far, one of the best written True Crime books or just books ever. Not only is the writing strong but it makes you feel as if you are in the actual story.Brilliant, thought-provoking, and well crafted in every way. What a great gift to readers and writers everywhere!

A well paced account of a murder.
Enthralling well written. It is as good as the early Ann Rule books. Will look for more from these authors.
