Exceptional quality at a great price!
I bought this to hook a 21 inch VGA Dell monitor to my MacBook Pro (2013) to help expand the screen so that I can open up more windows to go between spreadsheets, databases and programs. It arrived quickly and in a nice easy to open pouch. The adapter itself is nicely made and was easy to plug in and get started right away. Standard VGA plugs right into the back, screws in and stays seated fully. The lightning port has a plastic cap to keep the connectors clean during transit. Once off, you can see a very nicely made gold lightning port plug that fits easily without becoming loose and falling out. Once plugged in, everything worked straight away and I was ready to go. I would recommend this item if you are looking for an inexpensive way to hook up a VGA device to a lightning port without fear that you will have to replace the adapter often. Easy to use, no instructions needed. Plug n play for the most part. Just don't forget that you will need to go in and change your settings on your lightning device. Definitely two thumbs up on this item! I will buy again in the future if I need another one, which I may for another monitor.

Works as advertised
Works out of the box. No issues. Only have used it for a few days, but should hold up. Heavy duty wiring with shroud at plug should prevent spitting away from plug.

Mac to PC monitor
Plugged into my older Mac mini so I could use it with a spare PC monitor. Works well.

Worked as soon as it was plugged in
The only setup is under the display in the MAC OS and that took 2 minutes. The adapter worked as soon as it was plugged in.

Works Well. Bought Two
This adapter works great for connecting my macbook pro to a much older monitor for the purposes of mirroring or dual-display set ups. An accident wherein my laptop fell off the table broke my first one, but I felt confident ordering a second one. One might be concerned about durability, but at this price range I'd rather the adapter break than have it be so durable that it damages the port instead. Haven't had any problems with the new one.

Magic fix for an unknown problem
I give talks using my Mac laptop. I have a converter cable to allow me to plug into HDMI devices for presentations. When I go to a location that has old RS-232 (RGB) input and they have an HDMI to RS-232 converter I assume it will all work if just plug into their HDMI converter. It NEVER does. The computer and device just go nuts. I tried this Mac to RS-232 converter and whala.... it all works flawlessly. Thanks.
