So not what I was expecting! 100 times better!!!
I typically read romance novels. I bought this book under the recommendation from a book blog on Facebook. I am so happy that I bought this book. I am a big fan of zombies (Walking Dead and such). I have never read a book about zombies before Save Me. This book blew me away! There is drama, suspense, romance and sadness. I don't do spoilers in my reviews, so I can't really tell you more about the book than what is in the description. I know that plot line is excellent, the characters are beyond awesome and just a great book that is too good to put down. I hope that Ms. Baker is coming out with another book. Her writing is on a pro level.

Pretty good read.
I liked the book but I'm a little unhappy that the writer did not mention when a sequel would be coming out. I don't mind a cliff hanger ending if I know answers will be forthcoming! So when is the next Life After the Outbreak book going to be out?I would have given this book a five star rating if she did not run on and on and on and on.......at times. When asked are you two in love it took three pages to get to the point where the question was not going to be answered.Andi, the protagonist, spends so much time in her head and being childish that it distracts from the storyline! The story concept, world building and plausible ideas keeps the reader interested and makes you want to read more. Please, LJ Baker, make the girl get out of her own head and grow the hell up a little!

Pleasantly Surprised
I accidently purchased this book and was very mad at myself. I was in my jammies, comfy in bed and looking forward to immersing myself in a good book. I knew nothing about this one. I decided I didn't feel like trying to deal with getting a refund and trying to find another book so I gave this one a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the story, the characters and the authors ability to weave a story. My favorite character was definately Dan. I hope he's in all 3 books. There are some annoying typos but I've purchased books in the past with a lot more. They're easy enough to gloss over. I devoured the book and although I didn't finish it that same night, I did finish it in the morning and moved onto book 2, which I purchased on purpose! If you're into YA book, zombie apocolypses or just a good yarn, it's a good purchase.Small spoiler below:There were some areas that I had trouble believing... I mean even if I could allow myself to believe in the apocolypse or zombies, I could not get past my suspension of disbelief and allow myself to believe that this girl chose to live in the streets and wandering instead of her own basement which was secure, had hot water and food. I know the author tried to explain her reasons but I just couldn't go there with her.

Why does Andi have to be annoying
I really wish Andi was a less whiney annoying character. If she didn't spend so much time making bad decisions this book could have been rated much higher in my opinion. I love a zombie apocalypse story and slow moving living dead are my favorite kind. It makes way more sense to me that a bunch of 20 somethings (19 in Andi's case) with zero military training could survive as long as they have when the flesh eaters move slow enough to take out at distance. And this book did that really well. But still I just have to talk about why I disliked Andi. Because I like tropes, I don't mind at all when a character has a "prepper" father with a dooms-day shelter or that there was insta chemistry between the M/F main characters. I don't even mind when they throw in an antagonistic female character to be the antithesis of the main character...except that in this case I kept siding with Janet. Andi was annoyingly reckless and made every dumb decision she possibly could. Then not only was Will falling over himself for her but when you throw Dan in the mix... I almost gave up. Honestly I liked the plot and writing style enough that I'm probably going to read the next book...I'm a sucker for a cliffhanger I don't like things left unfinished. But I'm already preparing myself to say goodbye if Andi doesn't mature a lot between novels.

Zombies and romance are a perfect combination!
I loved that the two main characters were instantly drawn to one another and willing to do anything for one another. The world they live in is scary and apocalyptic. It felt almost claustrophobic. The description was so vivid that I could completely picture where they were. I could picture every setting. Their relationship was incomparable and I was rooting for them throughout the entire book. Whether you are a fan of zombies or not, you will enjoy this story about two people who find one another in impossible circumstances.

Not sure what I thought it would be, it was SO MUCH MORE!!! A MUST READ!
This book took me by complete surprise. I am not a fan of zombie anything but this was recommended to be by a good friend so I gave it a shot. I was sucked into Andi and Will's world. I couldn't imagine having to adjust to that kind of life to survive. I loved the coming of age story for Andi. I read other reviews before I read this. I like how Andi thinks she's an adult but is still very immature. She realizes it even though she doesn't want to admit it. Its a loveable quality, none of us like to admit our faults to anyone and its hard to admit them to ourselves. She grows and changes with everything she goes through and I loved being apart of her journey. I can't wait to read the second one! I couldn't put this down, I was so exhausted but kept telling myself one more chapter. I woke up in with my kindle stuck to my face, now that's a good book!! I definitely recommend this!
