Mercy Blade: Jane Yellowrock, Book 3

I found this series two days ago and have bought and read the first three books back to back. I love strong female leads, and this is one of the best - she reminds me of Cat Crawfield melded with Mercedes Thompson (both outstanding kickass heroines) I love the plot twists and turns, the world setting, and the development of law and history through the series. Cannot wait to read the next book… which I’m buying as soon as this review is done.

This is urban fantasy, with a likeable heroine, who isn't too tough or too hard or even too damaged. She's funny, kind, sexy and kick-ass! But, and this is a big thing for me in urban fantasy, there aren't the long drawn out sex scenes that you get in some fantasy books, there's romance and the odd sex scene, but they aren't all consuming, and they are well written and fit with the story. This is the story first, building in excellent characters throughout.This book starts with the were population 'coming out' to the World. As security advisor to the big vamp boss, it's Jane's job to make sure all goes well. Obviously it doesn't - cumulating in lots of fights, Jane's new boyfriend going missing, and Jane working with the gorgeous Bruiser, and the fabulous ex-Marines led by Derek Lee to help fix all the problems.Vampires, Were's and Witches (oh my!) and the excellent Jane Yellowrock, a skinwalker.I read all three books in 2 days, and I loved them. If you like the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, or the Toby Daye series by Seanan Maguire, then I hope you'll love this series as well.

OMG...Well the first thing i have to say is....What an ending!!!I adored this book even more than the previous two books, they just keep getting better and better, i am loving the world of Jane Yellowrock and all the beings inside that world. The storyline just hooked you from the first page and kept you hooked the whole way through the boo, not wavering for a second. The book is filled with major surprises and secrets and you get so hooked that you find yourself constantly turning the pages just to find out what will happen next !You see many of the old characters in this book but you also se a newer and different side to them as well, you are also introduced to completely new characters and new new species that are very unusual.This series is a series that must be read and i cant rate it highly enough, definately deserves a 5* rating and if you do anything in 2017 then getting these books is an essential thing!

ive read this entire series over and over and have really enjoyed it. it has shifters, vamps and some romance. i would re read this series again.

Faith Hunter goes from strength to strength with the Yellowrock novels! I am very glad that I took the chance on reading 'Skinwalker' a while back because it introduced me to the kickass heroine Jane Yellowrock and of course BEAST! You have to be amused at the interaction of Jane and beast and I personally love the sections of the book that are from Beasts perspective!! With the 'outing' of were's things have got and I am sure will continue to be very interesting it was nice to see Jane go up against something different!! I look forward to reading Raven Cursed very soon!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the Jane Yellowrock novels.

A well written fast paced story with an interesting mixture of fantasy and American Indian lore [at least i think it is, not knowing enough to really know] but it is convincingly done and un put downable , so I shall be reading the rest in the series.

Again another great read couldn't put it down getting ready now to buy the next book haven't even looked at the other books I bought can only read the next one to this --- bliss !!!!!!!!
