The Holy Spirit: An Introduction

At first I was so mad I wanted to throw the book across the room but then I researched verses & he was correct. Then I was even madder that the church doesn’t teach us more about Holy Spirit. Ultimately it is our responsibility but the church has done a horrible job! I don’t guess I’m surprised.Anyway it is a great book full of information you may not know about the Spirit of God.

I enjoyed every single page. Well written. Everything was based on the scripture. If you had doubts this book will completely erase it all.

This book showed a practical way of how to include the Holy Spirit in your daily life. It was sooo good and sooo impactful!

If you are in searching for God, getting close in relationships with Him and looking for His will for you - I highly recommend to read this book!

I typically don’t write reviews, but this book has truly opened my eyes and made me realize important parts of the Bible that I was missing and misinterpreting or not noticing. I would recommend this book to anyone. I believe the Holy Spirit lead me to the book and I hope many more people will purchase this book and continue to read their Bibles. Not just new believers but anyone who wants to get closer to God needs this book. I got baptized about 2 months ago and started reading this book about a week after. I genuinely believe the spiritual attacks against me would have been way worse had I not read this book. I got baptized in the Holy Spirit about a week after I read this book. While life still has its struggles, I feel so much peace thanks to the Holy Spirit. I am so grateful that I got this book! Thank you thank you God for bringing it into my life 🙏🏽

John Bevere used scripture excellently(!)* to explain who the Holy Spirit is and how he operates.For instance, I wanted a more scriptural understanding of speaking in tongues and towards the end of the book he provided relevant scriptures and explained them well. He explained the significance of details within the Scriptures he cited without stretching them. For example, he highlights that if Simon in Acts 8 was about to pay money in order to have the ability to lay hands on people that they would receive the Holy Spirit, then there was most likely some significant, outward manifestation that happened when people received the Holy Spirit!He also includes lists of when the Holy Spirit is mentioned in Acts and names used for the Holy Spirit which I found helpful in understanding Him. Overall I felt like this book really helped me understand the Holy Spirit better, and I really appreciated that it was all based on Scripture too.This is a must read for all Christians regardless of how well you think you understand the Holy Spirit! If nothing else it presents the Holy Spirit in a way that if you took some notes and wanted to explain the basics of the Holy Spirit to others you could know where to open up your Bible and let the Bible speak for itself.*The only two points he made that were a little shaky to me were his short points about freedom and the Holy Spirit as a dove. I'll let you read for yourself and see what you think.
