Nicely made item but rather vulnerable to large birds perching, or trying to perch, on it. My last one broken by big bird.

It arrived promptly and well packaged, but what a faff to assemble! the tacking arms came as two seperate parts, not as a single continuous piece pre shaped to go in the retaining shaft as I thought would be more logical.Apart from that I couldn't even screw the wind vane assembly into the shaft! The instructions said to do it up finger tight - impossible!! - it seemed like the screw threads were different.Instead of sending it back like I probably should of, I persevered with it and ran a 5/16 whitworth tap a little way down the shaft (I didn't have a UNC) I managed to at least get a starting point for the wind vane screw, which is graphite, to start to screw it together. It needed a spanner to screw it as it was very very tight! Trying to do that as well as hold the tacking arms in place was not an easy task - it needed two people with six pairs of hands!Summary: I think the annodising was in the screw thread - during manufacturing this should of been plugged to avoid this.The tacking arms should be a one piece part pre-shaped be easily held in place whilst screwing it together!

L'ho montato in testa d'albero di una barca a vela di 32 piedi con albero alto 12 metri è perfetto. Il montaggio è semplice, ho avuto l'accortezza di mettere una goccia di blocca filetti nel bullone che tiene l'asta. Le astine che indicano l'angolo morto sono facilmente modificabili anche a windex montato e non devono essere nuovamente regolate dopo poco. Il prodotto è perfetto. A distanza di una stagione e tanto mare sotto la carena lo consiglio.

Aun no esta instalado, pero tiene muy buena apariencia y calidad.El anclaje varia respecto del indicado en Amazon, pero es un anclaje estandar.

Con la barca mi sono imbattuto con vento a 48 nodi e ha resistito perfettamente. quando l'ho messo in testa d'albero mi sembrava deboluccio invece ho potuto costatare che è resistente e visibile anche di notte
