I stumbled across this product, and I decided it might be just what I needed for my favorite reading chair. I figured either the bamboo or acacia wood would work, but wasn't sure which I would like better. So I ordered both. The acacia version arrived first and was a disappointment. The pattern and colors on the one I received didn't look nice, not at all like the pics I saw in other people's reviews. Some of theirs were very pretty, and I would have been happy with them. The one I received looked blotchy and weird and rustic, and not in a good way. And the wood was a bit rough, should have been finish-sanded, and the sealer didn't absorb evenly into the wood. I figured if I kept it, it would just bug me every time I looked at it or used it, because it was ugly. The bamboo version was a complete contrast. Uniformly light color, even grain, and the sealer was uniform. So what I noticed when I looked at it was not the ugly wood grain, but how perfect it was in design and function. Somebody really thought through the design and function very very well, and then made sure it was manufactured to high quality standards. I have been playing with it, deciding how I want to use it, and just enjoying how well it is made. I read kindle books on my phone in the evening, and the holder fits my phone case perfectly. I can adjust it so that it is most comfortable for me given the light in the room at the time. The silicone pad gripper is a nice addition, as is the cutout at the bottom so that I can reach my screen controls. The tray is a great size, and holds a shallow pasta bowl or salad plate, which is all I need for snacks. The only thing I can't use is the drink holder, because it is too small for the luminarc working glasses which are my fave, or my coffee mugs. I can use it for odds and ends like lip balm. But I'm still giving it 5 stars because I have a chest of drawers next to the chair which holds my drink just fine. So all in all, I'm very surprised and pleased. I didn't expect it to be this nice. The bamboo wood is a bit lighter than I would like, but it doesn't bug me. The acacia would have really bugged me. The grain on the one I received was just too variable and funky and rustic for my tastes. Who needs an eyesore?

I really like the look and feel of this item. It is very versatile and has more space than I thought it would from the pictures I saw. It is also very easy to put together and easy to put on the arm of a couch or chair. The hinges are very tight, so watch the fingers! They snap back very hard and fast when you are checking it out to make sure they work.About the sturdiness, the review videos I saw shows it to be very sturdy, I cannot say the same thing, completely. It is sturdy on the couch, but I have a very soft cover on my couch, so now and then I have to tip it a bit to keep it flat. So, keep that in mind if you have a cover on your couch or chair. The item itself is very solid and very sturdy.The color is great, but I prefer color to be more consistent and uniform throughout. Mine is darker in some places and lighter in other and not as pretty as others I have seen in previous reviews. With that said, it is a beautiful tray.I love it and plan to buy another for the other arm of my couch soon.

Beautiful acacia wood, and it's very smooth. Phone holder works great. It's very stable while also being adjustable.

It works pretty well. My sofa arms are fairly wide, so the legs that grip stick out a bit when they're in use. If you bump into those legs, the tray comes off. I have to use it where there's no traffic so it doesn't get knocked off. I love the size of the tray and the cup holder. The phone holder is useless for me because my phone doesn't fit, but most phones will be fine. Overall, I'm happy with it. If it was a tiny bit wider between the gripping legs so it fit my sofa a little better it would be 5 stars.

I got one of these for my husbands recliner, and its just fantastic! My husband's recliner rocks, but the way this thing works somehow even if its rocked hard it wont spill a drink! And its perfect sized for the mouse ( the living room tv is also a computer, you know how it goes lol) So i loved it so much i went back and purchased myself one! 😁 I would/will/ have recommend this to everyone i know! Also it's lovely! Its beautiful solid wood, it doesnt just work functionally well it looks beautiful! Its incredibly sturdy, it has like a rubber feeling material underneath, and very strong arms so it stays in place on any sized arm! If you're considering getting one, just donit! You wont regret it 😁

The acacia wood is stunning. I wasn’t so sure about the phone and cup holder. I thought I wouldn’t need them and they would take up space, but they actually come in handy and leave me plenty of room for my laptop mouse and various items. The “legs” that hinge onto the couch arm rest are super strong and help clamp the tray down. I did have a dog jump off the couch over the tray and he knocked it off. So I learned not to leave anything on the tray when I’m not sitting on the couch. Overall highly recommend!

I like that it fits on my arm rest, that the cup holder and phone holder turn. High quality

I like this even more than I thought I would. It fits all my couch arms so we can use it in different places. It sits snuggly. The removable accessories are nice. No rough edges.Just follow the instructions and don't try to open it one handed or you'll pinch your fingers, use both hands to put it on and take it off.
