AK Sport Outdoor Play Kubb Game

Was introduced to the game at a festival weekend and was immediately hooked. It seems complicated at first but is deceptively simple and straightforward once you get going. The rule sheet supplied isn't terribly clear but there are plenty of "How to play..:" videos online.I bought this set and took it along to a picnic and it was a hit. Passers by would stop and watch us play. Occasionally strangers were pulled in to make up team numbers. Everyone went away swearing they'd order their own set as soon as they could. It really is THAT addictive!The quality is fine overall. The unfinished work has a nice, rustic feel but means the pieces will get marked quickly. But grass stains are a mark of pride for any self respecting Kubb player! The mesh storage bag supplied is a bit flimsy; I keep my set in a canvas tote bag.Perfect for a summer afternoon in the park...

Bought these for something else to do in the garden with my 5 year old daughter, and as something we can take to the park when having a picnic with friends etc. The pieces are simple but effective, the game is fun and can be as challenging as you want to make it (we don't play by the full rules, but you do whatever works for you) and the carry bag makes storage and transport easy. My daughter loves the game and often asks to play it when the sun's out - it's probably her favourite of the garden games we have. Our lawn isn't very flat, so it can sometimes be difficult to get the pieces to stand up but that's not the fault of the product. After a number of uses, there are various nicks and grass stains in the throwing sticks, and one has a bit of a crack in it, but all of that is to be expected - they're not indestructible and you're throwing them at other bits of wood after all. Despite this, there's no suggestion that any of them are going to break any time soon, and if they do, it wouldn't be the hardest job to source and cut a replacement piece.

This is great fun for all the family. We play in the garden and take it camping. The youngest member of our family is 5 and although we play it with simplified rules and a smaller 'pitch', he loves it and joins in well. It's good for learning turn taking and the importance of standing back when the opposite team are throwing! It's so nice to have something that the whole family can play with outside. This set is nicely made and I would highly recommend.

Brilliant, took this camping and the whole family loved it, our 3 yr old was probably the best player giving her some allowance for distance. Would be a great party ice breaker as people are really interested when they see it being played. Nice quality wood and a handy bag, I can see this lasting a lifetime.

Decent size set. For the price you get what you pay for. Had a good few games with people aged 7 years to 78 years and everyone enjoyed the game. The gameplay instructions are a little daunting at first but once you know the game it is very simple and very fun.

Good quality set, fun to play. Beware though, you need a big space. Our garden is medium size and we’ve had to scale down the playing area!

As expected, untreated wood. All the pieces work as intended. The instructions are difficult to understand, so I was better off finding clearer ones online.But overall, no problems. The fabric bag is very basic, so I will be replacing it with something that makes carrying it easier.My friends and I had fun using it at a picnic.The pieces have grass stains on them after just a single use, so if you want to maintain the wooden colouring, best to paint or lacquer them.
