This nightlight got our 13 month old to sleep in his cot for the first time since he was 6 months old. He slept with us because he absolutely refused to get in his cot and would scream every time we tried to put him in it. Over night he has completely changed, sleeping the cot all night and no crying when placed in. The nightlight has two sounds, a sea themed piece of music and waves. The internal lights project a wave pattern on the walls and ceiling. We use the wave sound and have the moving waves on a low brightness setting, so it's not too stimulating for our son. It completely distracts him and he lies down to look at it. He's usually asleep in about 10 - 15 minutes of turning it on. We put it in the cot as there are no sharp bits and take it out after he's gone to sleep. The turtle is well made and has a cute face. Although it's very expensive, I would absolutely recommend if your child hates the cot and you don't want to do 'cry it out'. Sleeping in the cot is a habit now for our son and he doesn't question being placed in there at bedtime or naps.

We use this every night, it sends our 5 month old (and my partner) to sleep. The light effect and the sound are very relaxing and the build quality is fantastic. The built in timer function is plenty long enough for baby to fall asleep and then switches off without draining the batteries too often.

One of the better purchases we've made. You can choice just the lights to calm while feeding, then to help them sleep I put on the sounds of the ocean.In your arms it works every time. Fantastic product and worth the money.

My partner and I were searching for something that was a bit more than just a night light. We wanted something portable and interesting but not detracting. After a lot of research and reading other parents review's I settled on the Cloud B turtle projector. When it arrived a was pleased by the size, not too big. The colour was perfect as shown in the picture and I was really pleased by all the adjustments you could make.There is a dial underneath where you can increase or decrease the brightness of the light, this means wherever you place the turtle high or low, the light will be exactly how you want it. You can also stop the movement of the projected waves skip between music and waves as well as adjusting the volume. My husband and I ourselves were mesmerised and found it quite peaceful hopefully our new arrival will think the same.

What a great product, is it worth £40, probably not but it is a quality item that will provide countless hours of relaxation for your little one. At the moment its having the opposite affect on my 7 week old little girl as she is quite happy staying awake and cooing at the waves and enjoying the music rather than letting it put her to sleep, but it does keep her quiet and occupied.The effects themselves are wonderful though, I myself love watching the waves projected right the way across our ceiling, and walls and I have to say I was very impressed that it almost fills our room which is rather big.Would have given it five stars but I feel the product should have been around £10 less. However I would still recommend it to parents as there doesn't seem to be anything else on the market that provides the same effect.

i bought this for my son who is 6 months old hoping it would help him sleep more. but my 18 month old daughter has ended up COMPLETELY in love with it!! it projects a very strong light which creates the image of moving water all across her room. its really magical. she cant wait to put it on. and i have a feeling as my son grows older i will end up having to buy another! my daughter cant wait to go upstairs to bed and turn on her turtle! it plays very relaxing music or water sounds. and the light strength and music volume can be turned as high/low as you like. the light goes that high it still works during the day with curtains closed. perfect part of night time routine. so happy with it :)

This item is quite expensive. I bought it for my grandson (aged 7) who has trouble getting off to sleep. He absolutely loves it, and both my other grandsons now want one! I will have to save up again! The lamp transports you to a magical place, and is sooooooooooo soothing. I feel it has been worth every penny paid, and I was relieved to see that it appears to be well made, with good materials (not at all tacky). so, well done Cloud B Tranquil Turtle.P.S. I am thinking about getting one for myself, to help with old age induced insomnia!!!!
